Juan Diego Alvira
Juan Diego Alvira Cortés (born October 16, 1976) is a Colombian journalist, news presenter and lawyer. Biography Alvira studied Social Communication and Journalism at Jorge Tadeo Lozano University, later studied Law in La Gran Colombia University. Alvira is married with the also journalist and communicator Ana María Escobar. Career His career began in RCN Radio's program ''Radio Sucesos'', in his native Ibagué, then entered sports journalism in the magazine ''Deporte Gráfico''. Alvira then debuted in the newspaper ''El Espectador'', to later enter as a reporter in the news ''City Noticias'' of Colombian variant of City TV. Ibagué
Ibagué () (referred to as San Bonifacio de Ibagué del Valle de las Lanzas during the Spanish period) is the capital of Tolima, one of the 32 departments that make up the Republic of Colombia. Noticias Caracol
''Noticias Caracol'' (until 9 October 2007 ''Caracol Noticias'') is the name for all the national newscast from the news division of Caracol Televisión which carries the same name. It is broadcast four times on weekdays and twice on weekends. In January 2015 the new director is Juan Roberto Vargas and the second director is Alberto Medina Lopez. Before becoming a network, Caracol Televisión produced the morning newscast ''7:30 Caracol'' in the mid-1990s. Several well-known Colombian journalists, such as Claudia Palacios, Érika Fontalvo, and María Cristina Uribe were also news presenters of ''Caracol Noticias''. Jorge Tadeo Lozano University is a private university whose main campus is located in Bogotá, Colombia, with satellite campuses in Cartagena, Santa Marta and Chía. ''El Espectador'' (meaning "The Spectator") is a newspaper with national circulation within Colombia, founded by Fidel Cano Gutiérrez on 22 March 1887 in Medellín and published since 1915 in Bogotá. It changed from a daily to a weekly edition in 2001, following a financial crisis, and became a daily again on 11 May 2008, a comeback which had been long rumoured, in tabloid format (28 x 39.5 cm).
