João Aurélio
João Miguel Coimbra Aurélio (born 17 August 1988) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for C.D. Nacional as a right-back or a right midfielder. He spent the vast majority of his career with Nacional, making 239 competitive appearances over eight seasons. He later represented Vitória de Guimarães and Moreirense, totalling 283 Primeira Liga games. Club career Nacional Born in Beja, Aurélio began his professional career with lower league club S.C. Penalva do Castelo. In the 2008–09 season, he moved straight into the Primeira Liga with Madeira's C.D. Beja () is a city and a municipality in the Alentejo region, Portugal. The population in 2011 was 35,854, in an area of . The city proper had a population of 21,658 in 2001. The Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (; English: Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, or simply Portuguese Super Cup) is an annual Portuguese football match played since 1979 between the winners of the Portuguese League (Primeira Liga) and Portuguese Cup (Taça de Portugal). When a team wins both competitions (thus achieving the double (''dobradinha'')), it plays again against the Cup runners-up. The 2017 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 39th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira. It took place on 5 August 2017 and featured the winners of the 2016–17 Primeira Liga and 2016–17 Taça de Portugal, Benfica, and the runners-up of the Taça de Portugal, Vitória de Guimarães. Benfica won their second consecutive Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira for the first time and seventh overall. The Taça de Portugal (; "Cup of Portugal") is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. The 2017 Taça de Portugal Final was the last match of the 2016–17 Taça de Portugal, which decided the winner of the 77th season of the Taça de Portugal. It was played on 28 May 2017 at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, between Benfica and Vitória de Guimarães. Benfica won the Portuguese Cup for a record 26th time and made its 11th double (record – previously in 2014) by also winning the League. The 2016–17 Taça de Portugal was the 77th season of the Taça de Portugal, the premier knockout competition in Portuguese football.
