2017 Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira
The 2017 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 39th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira. It took place on 5 August 2017 and featured the winners of the 2016–17 Primeira Liga and 2016–17 Taça de Portugal, Benfica, and the runners-up of the Taça de Portugal, Vitória de Guimarães. Benfica won their second consecutive Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira for the first time and seventh overall. Venue The Aveiro Municipal Stadium was announced as the venue on 6 June 2017, following the decision of the Portuguese Football Federation Directive Board. Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira
The Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (; English: Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, or simply Portuguese Super Cup) is an annual Portuguese football match played since 1979 between the winners of the Portuguese League (Primeira Liga) and Portuguese Cup (Taça de Portugal). When a team wins both competitions (thus achieving the double (''dobradinha'')), it plays again against the Cup runners-up. The Supertaça has been organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since 1981 and is usually played in August, right before the start of the league season. The 2014 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 36th edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira. It featured the winners of the 2013–14 Primeira Liga and 2013–14 Taça de Portugal, S.L. Benfica, and the runners-up of the Taça de Portugal, Rio Ave F.C. The two clubs also met in the 2014 Taça da Liga Final, also won by Benfica. Raphael Dias Belloli (born 14 December 1996), known as Raphinha, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger for La Liga club Barcelona and the Brazil national team. Haris Seferovic ( bs, Seferović, ; born 22 February 1992) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a striker for Süper Lig club Galatasaray, on loan from Portuguese club Benfica, and the Switzerland national team. The 2017 Taça de Portugal Final was the last match of the 2016–17 Taça de Portugal, which decided the winner of the 77th season of the Taça de Portugal. It was played on 28 May 2017 at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, between Benfica and Vitória de Guimarães. The 2005 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the twenty seventh edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, the annual Portuguese football season-opening match contested by the winners of the previous season's top league and cup competitions (or cup runner-up in case the league- and cup-winning club is the same). The match was contested between the 2004–05 Primeira Liga winners, Benfica and the 2004–05 Taça de Portugal winners, Vitória de Setúbal.
