''Joyjatra'' ( bn, জয়যাত্রা) is Bangladeshi film directed by Tauquir Ahmed and produced by Azam Faruk, featuring Mahfuz Ahmed, Bipasha Hayat, Azizul Hakim, Ahsan Habib Nasim, and others. The film is set in the period of the Bangladesh Liberation War. Plot Joyjatra takes place during the liberation war of Bangladesh. Many people from various villages and ethnic backgrounds attempt to flee to India after the Pakistan Army launched an attack on them. For days, the refugees have been stuck on a boat on a journey to India, but eventually, some of them were killed by the army. Tauquir Ahmed (born 5 March 1966) is a Bangladeshi architect and actor, turned director in both television and cinema. The Bangladeshi Cinema, better known as Dhallywood ( bn, ঢালিউড), is the Bengali-language film industry based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Abul Hayat (born 7 September 1944) is a Bangladeshi actor. He is also a writer, civil engineer and director. He earned Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Daruchini Dwip (2007) and was awarded Ekushey Padak for his acting in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh.
