Journey To Space
''Journey to Space'' (also known as ''Journey to Space 3D'') is a 2015 American 3D documentary Adventure film directed by Mark Krenzien. It was presented in collaboration with Boeing and Toyota. It depicts an unveiling of a new era of unprecedented deep space exploration in dramatic giant screen film format. The documentary is narrated (voice) by Patrick Stewart. Footage The documentary film features some reused and remastered in-space footage from previous IMAX films Destiny in Space, The Dream is Alive, Space Station 3D and Mission to Mir. Patrick Stewart
Sir Patrick Stewart (born 13 July 1940) is an English actor who has a career spanning seven decades in various stage productions, television, film and video games. ''Destiny in Space'' is a 70mm Canadian-American IMAX documentary film released in 1994. The film was written by Toni Myers, directed by Academy Award-winner Ben Burtt, and narrated by Leonard Nimoy. The film is a showcase of the daily lives of astronauts in space, particularly on the STS-42 Space Shuttle ''Discovery Spacelab mission, as they fix instruments and take measurements. The film includes two Space Shuttle launches and several cargo bay scenes, including an astronaut repairing the Hubble Space Telescope. CGI recreations of the surface of Venus and Mars based on satellite data from JPL are also featured. ''Mission to Mir'' is a 1997 documentary film about the Mir Space Station. Filming Footage seen within the movie was compiled from multiple sources. These include IMAX cameras taken into space on the Space Shuttle. IMAX cameras were taken to the Mir Space Station on Space Shuttle missions: STS-63, STS-71, STS-74 and STS-79. The main subject of the film were Mir missions: Mir EO-18, Mir EO-19, Mir EO-20, Mir EO-21 and Mir EO-22. Narration American Space Shuttle astronaut Shannon Lucid is the dominant figure in this documentary. STS-8 was the eighth NASA Space Shuttle mission and the third flight of the Space Shuttle ''Challenger''.
