José Ángel Saiz Meneses
José Ángel Saiz Meneses (born 2 August 1956) is a Spanish prelate of the Catholic Church who has served as the metropolitan archbishop of Seville since 2021. He has been a bishop since 2001, serving as an auxiliary in Barcelona from 2001 to 2004 and as bishop of Terrassa from 2004 to 2021. Biography José Ángel Saiz Meneses was born on 2 August 1956 in Sisante in the province of Cuenca, Spain. He moved with his family to Barcelona at an early age and began his ecclesiastical studies at the minor seminary of Barcelona and completed them in the seminary of Toledo. On 15 July 1984 he was ordained a priest of the diocese of Toledo by Cardinal Marcelo González Martín. He returned to Barcelona in 1989 for family reasons and was incardinated there in 1994. Mons
Mons (; German and nl, Bergen, ; Walloon and pcd, Mont) is a city and municipality of Wallonia, and the capital of the province of Hainaut, Belgium. Mons was made into a fortified city by Count Baldwin IV of Hainaut in the 12th century. The population grew quickly, trade flourished, and several commercial buildings were erected near the ''Grand’Place''. In 1814, King William I of the Netherlands increased the fortifications, following the fall of the First French Empire. The Industrial Revolution and coal mining made Mons a centre of heavy industry. Juan José Asenjo Pelegrina (born 15 October 1945) is a Spanish prelate of the Catholic Church who was the Archbishop of Seville from 5 November 2009 until his retirement on 17 April 2021. Biography Juan José Asenjo Pelegrina was born in Sigüenza on 15 October 1945. He entered the seminary and studied theology and philosophy. He was ordained a priest on 21 September 1969. In 1971 he received a licentiate in theology at the Theological Faculty of Burgos. From 1977 to 1979 he attended courses for a doctorate in Church history at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He also holds a Diploma in Archives and Library Science at the Vatican Library and archiving the Vatican Secret Archives.
