José Semedo (footballer, Born 1979)
José Filipe Correia Semedo (born 26 December 1979) is a Cape Verdean former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career Born in Lisbon, Portugal, Semedo started his senior career with local amateurs C.F. Benfica, signing for neighbouring Odivelas F.C. in 2001. After stellar performances with the latter in the third division (18 goals in 29 matches in the 2007–08 season), he attracted attention from Primeira Liga clubs, eventually joining Rio Ave FC. In his first appearance in the competition, on 24 August 2008, he scored in a 1–1 home draw against S.L. Benfica. Semedo moved to Cyprus in January 2009, teaming up with several Portuguese players at APOP Kinyras FC. In May 2010, after two solid campaigns – including 22 First Division goals in 2009–10, best in the competition – he stayed in the country with cup holders Apollon Limassol FC. Selman Stërmasi Stadium
The Selman Stërmasi Stadium ( sq, Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi) is a multi-purpose stadium in Tirana, Albania. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of KF Tirana. The stadium holds 9,500 people (all seated). It is named after Selman Stërmasi, one of KF Tirana's best players of all time. The Kategoria Superiore, officially known as Abissnet Superiore for sponsorship reasons, is a professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Albanian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. It is contested by 10 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Kategoria e Parë. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 36 matches each (playing each team in the league four times, twice at home and twice away). 2009–10 Cypriot Cup
The 2009–10 Cypriot Cup was the 68th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 28 clubs entered the competition. It began on 23 September 2009 with the first round and concluded on 15 May 2010 with the final which was held at GSZ Stadium. Apollon won their 6th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating APOEL 2–1 in the final. Format In the 2009–10 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division and the Cypriot Second Division. The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship.
