José Madueña
José Antonio Madueña López (born 29 May 1990) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a right-back for Liga MX club Mazatlán. Biography Born in Mexicali, Baja California, Madueña began his career in the Tercera División de México and has worked his way through the systems teams of Ascenso MX teams before landing with Club América for the Apertura 2014. Related to Marthyn Diaz alias "El Perronzini". Professional Tijuana Madueña joined Tijuana for the Bicentenario 2010 when the team was part of the Ascenso MX. He was part of the team's U-20 squad as it ascended to the first division in 2011–2012 season. He first appeared with the first team in the Clausura 2012 while also representing the team in the Copa MX. Copa MX
The Copa MX (formerly called Copa Tower Monterrey, Copa Eliminatoria, Copa México and Copa Corona MX (for sponsorship reasons)) was a Mexican football cup competition that was established in 1907. After a lengthy hiatus that began in 1997, it was restored in 2012. On early editions of the cup, it consisted of both professional and amateur stages. It was the first official tournament that included teams from different parts of Mexico and was considered a prestigious tournament, especially during its earlier years of existence. The original purpose of the competition was to determine a national champion, thus distinguishing it from the local league championship. 2019 Leagues Cup
The 2019 Leagues Cup was the inaugural edition of Leagues Cup, a club competition featuring four clubs from Major League Soccer and Liga MX in an eight-team single-elimination tournament hosted in the United States. It began on July 23, 2019, with the first set of quarterfinals, and culminated in a final match played in Las Vegas on September 18, 2019. Cruz Azul won the final, defeating UANL 2–1. Qualification The inaugural edition of the Leagues Cup featured eight teams—four invitees from Major League Soccer and four Liga MX clubs chosen based on competitive results.
