José Luis Martí
José Luis Martí Soler (born 28 April 1975) is a Spanish professional Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player who played as a central midfielder. Known for his tactical awareness, he amassed La Liga totals of 336 matches and eight goals over 13 seasons, representing RCD Mallorca, Mallorca (two spells), CD Tenerife, Tenerife and Sevilla FC, Sevilla. He won five major titles with the latter club, including two UEFA Europa League, UEFA Cups. Martí started working as a manager in 2015, going on to spend three seasons in Segunda División with CD Tenerife, Tenerife and one apiece in the same tier with Deportivo de La Coruña, Deportivo, Girona FC, Girona, CD Leganés, Leganés and Sporting de Gijón. The 2007–08 season was the 77th in the history of the Segunda División (known as the Liga BBVA for sponsorship reasons), the second tier of the Spanish football league system. The first matches of the season were played on 25 August 2007, and the season ended on 15 June 2008. Celta de Vigo, Real Sociedad, and Gimnàstic de Tarragona were the teams which were relegated from La Liga the previous season. Racing de Ferrol, Eibar, Sevilla Atlético, and Córdoba were the teams which were promoted from Segunda División B the previous season. A penalty kick (commonly known as a penalty or a spot kick) is a method of restarting play in association football, in which a player is allowed to take a single shot at the goal while it is defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. It is awarded when an offence punishable by a direct free kick is committed by a player in their own penalty area. The shot is taken from the penalty mark, which is 11 m (12 yards) from the goal line and centred between the touch lines.
