José Luis Garcés Rivera (born 9 May 1981) is a Panamanian footballer who currently plays for Liga Panameña de Futbol side San Francisco. Club career At club level, Garcés plays in the striker position. Nicknamed ''el Pistolero'', he played for clubs in Brazil, Uruguay, Bulgaria, and Portugal before he returned to Panama because he was not being paid in his club Académica de Coimbra. Criminal charges He later signed a loan deal with Arabian club Al-Ittifaq but later returned to Panama to play for Árabe Unido, where he got arrested a couple of times and in April 2011 spent time in jail. Panama National Football Team
The Panama national football team ( es, Selección de fútbol de Panamá) represents Panama in men's international football and is governed by the Panamanian Football Federation. The team represents all three FIFA, CONCACAF and the regional UNCAF. Panama qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time for the 2018 tournament in Russia and scored their first goal of the World Cup against England, although they lost the match 6–1. They finished bottom of their group. Panama finished as runners-up in the 2005 Gold Cup and 2013 Gold Cup, losing to the United States on both occasions. The 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the tenth edition of the CONCACAF Gold Cup competition, and the twentieth soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF). The 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup was the ninth edition of the Gold Cup, the soccer championship of North America, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF), and was won by the United States over Mexico. It was contested in the United States from June 6 to 24, 2007. This competition was the third overall edition of the tournament without guests (for the first time since 1993) from other confederations. FIFA World Cup Qualification
The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Seattle Sounders Football Club is an American professional men's soccer club based in Seattle. The Sounders compete as a member of the Western Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS).
