José Lasa (basketball)
José María Lasa Ibarguren (born 3 March 1948) is a former Spanish footballer who played mainly as a right back. He amassed La Liga totals of 287 games and 39 goals, representing in the competition Granada, Athletic Bilbao and Zaragoza. Football career Born in Andoain, Gipuzkoa, Lasa reached the professional level at the age of 21, when he signed with Real Valladolid from CD Logroñés in 1968. He spent two seasons in Segunda División with the former club, being relegated in the second; he started playing as a winger. Lasa made his debut in La Liga with Granada CF, his first game occurring on 13 September 1970 in a 1–1 away draw against Elche CF, where he scored his team's goal. He finished the campaign with a further eight goals in 30 games, helping to a final tenth position. Lasa joined fellow league side Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 1972. Andoain
Andoain is a town in the province of Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous community of Basque Country (autonomous community), Basque Country, in the North of Spain. Nowadays it has a population of 14,637 inhabitants (2019), which has been quite stable since the 90s. Away Goals Rule
The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaker, tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals "Road (sports), away from home" wins. This is sometimes expressed by saying that away goals "count double" in the event of a tie, though in practice the team with more away goals is simply recorded as the victor, rather than having additional or 'double' goals added to their total. The 1977 UEFA Cup Final was played on 4 May 1977 and 18 May 1977 between Italian side Juventus F.C., Juventus and Spanish side Athletic Bilbao, Athletic Club. The UEFA Europa League (abbreviated as UEL, or sometimes, UEFA EL), formerly the UEFA Cup, is an annual football club competition organised since 1971 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs.
