José Díaz (rugby Union)
José Díaz (born 31 March 1963, in Valencia) is a former Spanish rugby union player. He played as a flanker. Díaz played for Castres Olympique, in France, from 1986/87 to 2001/02, winning the French Championship in 1992/93 who beat Grenoble 14-11 in the final, in a match decided by an irregular try accorded by the referee, being a runners-up in 1994/95, and also the Cup of France, in 1992/93. He had 10 caps for Spain, from 1997 to 1999, scoring 1 try, 5 points in aggregate. Castres Olympique () is a French rugby union club located in the Occitanian city of Castres and is currently competing in the top level of the French league system. Founded in 1898, the club took its current name in 1906. They play at the Stade Pierre-Fabre, which is one of the smallest in Top 14 with a capacity of 12,500. The team wear blue and white kits. The Football Club de Grenoble Rugby (FCG) is a French rugby union club based in Grenoble and founded in 1892. FCG was champion of France in 1954 and runner-up in 1918 and in 1993 during a controversial final, being deprived of the title of champion of France following a refereeing error. The club also won the Challenge Yves du Manoir in 1987 and was finalist in 1969, 1986 and 1990. The 1999 Rugby World Cup was the fourth Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial international rugby union championship. It was principally hosted by Wales, and was won by Australia. This was the first Rugby World Cup to be held in the sport's professional era. Although the majority of matches were played outside Wales (shared between England, France, Scotland and Ireland) the opening ceremony, the first match and the final were held in Cardiff.
