Joshua John (born 1 October 1988) is a footballer who plays as a forward. Born in the Netherlands, John represents Aruba internationally. Club career Sparta Rotterdam Joshua John came through the youth departments of SV Koedijk, Ajax, RKC Waalwijk and Sparta Rotterdam. He made his professional debut on 10 May 2007, coming on as a late substitute for Marvin Emnes, in a 3–2 loss against N.E.C. in the play–offs. John made his first appearance of the 2007–08 season in the league match against Groningen on 29 September 2007, coming on as a substitute for Sjaak Polak, in a 1–0 loss. It wasn't until on 30 March 2008 when he scored his first professional goal for the club, in a 2–2 draw against Willem II. Despite being sidelined for the most of the season, John went on to make twelve appearances for the side. Alkmaar () is a city and municipality in the Netherlands, located in the province of North Holland, about 30 km north of Amsterdam. Alkmaar is well known for its traditional cheese market. Football Club Groningen () is a Dutch professional association football club based in Groningen, province of Groningen. Founded on 16 June 1971 as the successor of GVAV, the team compete in the Eredivisie, the highest tier of Dutch football. FC Emmen is a Dutch football club based in Emmen, Drenthe. They play in the Eredivisie, the top tier of Dutch football, after winning the 2021–22 Eerste Divisie title. Founded in 1925, the club entered the professional Eerste Divisie in 1985. Fortuna Sittard (; li, Fortuna Zitterd ) is a football club in Sittard, Netherlands. The club currently plays its football in the 12,500 capacity Fortuna Sittard Stadion and features in the Eredivisie. The 2009–10 KNVB Cup was the 92nd season of the Netherlands, Dutch national Association football, football knockout tournament. The competition began on 29 August 2009 with the matches of Round 1 and culminated with a double-leg Final on 25 April and 6 May 2010 respectively. VV Baronie is a Dutch amateur association football club based in Breda. History The club was founded on July 4, 1926, and has always been the second club of the city, being overshadowed by the far more successful NAC Breda.
