Josh Schneider
Josh Schneider (born January 11, 1988) is an American competition swimmer. He is a two-time medalist at the FINA Short Course World Championships and a former American record holder in the 50-meter freestyle (short course). Swimming career As a college swimmer at the University of Cincinnati, Schneider was a one-time NCAA champion, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 2010. At the 2010 FINA Short Course World Championships, Schneider won the bronze in the 50 m freestyle. Schneider, who was swimming in lane eight, only qualified for the final after winning a swim-off against Australian Kyle Richardson. Schneider also earned a gold medal in the 4×100 m medley relay for his contributions in the heats. At the 2014 FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) in Doha, Qatar, Schneider was part of the winning 4x50 Mixed Freestyle Relay. The men's 4 × 100 metre freestyle relay competition of the swimming events at the 2015 Pan American Games took place on July 14 at the CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House in Toronto, Canada. The defending Pan American Games champion is Brazil. This race consisted of eight lengths of the pool. Each of the four swimmers completed two lengths of the pool. North Bend, Ohio
North Bend is a village in Miami Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, United States, along the Ohio River. It is a part of the Greater Cincinnati area. The population was 857 at the 2010 census. Taylor High School is a public high school in Cleves, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Three Rivers Local School District. It has been given the designation as an "Excellent with Distinction School" from the state of Ohio since such designations have been in effect. Swimming At The 2015 Pan American Games
Swimming competitions at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto will be held from July 14 to 18 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre (CIBC Pan Am/Parapan Am Aquatics Centre and Field House). Due to naming rights the arena will be known as the latter for the duration of the games. Due to Pan American Games being scheduled to be held roughly around the same time as the 2015 World Aquatics Championships scheduled for Kazan, Russia, the swimming events were condensed into a five-day schedule. Format The competition will feature 32 long course (50m) events, divided evenly between males and females into the following 16 events: * freestyle: 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 (females only) and 1500 (males only); *backstroke: 100 and 200; *breaststroke: 100 and 200; *butterfly: 100 and 200; *individual medley (I.M.): 200 and 400; *relays: 4x100 free, 4x200 free and 4x100 medley. 2010 FINA Short Course World Championships
The 10th FINA World Swimming Championships (25 m) was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 15–19 December 2010. This swimming-only championships took place in the Dubai Sports Complex; all events were swum in a 25-meter ( short-course) pool. FINA announced on April 9, 2006 that Dubai had defeated the only other bidder Istanbul, Turkey, 11 votes to 10, after a meeting of the FINA Bureau in Shanghai, China. The USA topped the medal standings with a total of 25 medals. A total of 57 Championship Records were set, and 4 World Records. American Ryan Lochte and Spaniard Mireia Belmonte were named swimmers of the competition.
