Joseph Strutt (MP)
Joseph Holden Strutt (21 November 1758 – 11/18 February 1845), was a British soldier and long-standing Member of Parliament (United Kingdom), Member of Parliament. He served in the Army and achieved the rank of colonel, and also sat as Member of Parliament for Maldon (UK Parliament constituency), Maldon from 1790 to 1826 and for Okehampton (UK Parliament constituency), Okehampton from 1826 to 1830. Baroness Rayleigh
Baron Rayleigh, of Terling Place in the County of Essex is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The peerage was created on 18 July 1821 for Lady Charlotte Strutt, wife of Colonel Joseph Strutt, Member of Parliament for Maldon. Strutt had earlier declined the offer of a peerage, 'under a cloak of false humility' and instead proposed that the honour be given to his wife. Lady Rayleigh was the daughter of James FitzGerald, 1st Duke of Leinster, and his wife Lady Emily Lennox, the second of the famous Lennox sisters. Her elder brother was Charles FitzGerald, 1st Baron Lecale, and her younger brother was Lord Edward FitzGerald. The family seat is Terling Place, Essex. George Agar-Ellis, 1st Baron Dover
George James Welbore Agar-Ellis, 1st Baron Dover PC FRS FSA (14 January 179710 July 1833) was a British politician and man of letters. He was briefly First Commissioner of Woods and Forests under Lord Grey between 1830 and 1831. Background and education Agar-Ellis was the only son of Henry Agar-Ellis, 2nd Viscount Clifden, and Lady Caroline, daughter of George Spencer, 4th Duke of Marlborough. John Campbell, 2nd Marquess of Breadalbane, (26 October 1796 – 8 November 1862), styled Lord Glenorchy until 1831 and as Earl of Ormelie from 1831 to 1834, was a Scottish nobleman and Liberal politician. Sir Compton Domvile, 1st Baronet (c. 1775 – 23 February 1857) of Templeogue and Santry House, County Dublin, was an Irish Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom parliament and Governor of County Dublin. Family and early life Born in 1788, Barrett-Lennard was the eldest of 12 children of his namesake, Thomas Barrett-Lennard (died 1857)—who himself was the illegitimate son and testamentary heir of his namesake Thomas Barrett-Lennard, 17th Baron Dacre (1717–1786)—and Dorothy née St. Aubyn, daughter of Sir John St. Aubyn, 4th Baronet. As a junior officer, he was deployed with a squadron under Admiral Edward Vernon to the West Indies at the start of the War of Jenkins' Ear.
