Jorge Reyes (baseball)
Jorge Luis Reyes (born December 7, 1987 in Rio Grande City, Texas) is an American baseball pitcher who is currently a free agent. He was the Most Outstanding Player in the 2007 College World Series for the Oregon State Beavers. Reyes was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 17th round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. High school Although born in Texas, Reyes calls Warden, Washington home and played high school baseball there. He graduated from Warden High School in 2006. Reyes lettered 4 years for coach Dan Caballero. As a senior, he was named all-state first team, all-area first team, all-league first team, posted a 6-1 record, 0.32 ERA in 43.2 innings and had 78 strikeouts. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Jeffrey Braden Francoeur (; born January 8, 1984), nicknamed "Frenchy", is an American former professional baseball right fielder, who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals, San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres, Philadelphia Phillies, and Miami Marlins. The El Paso Chihuahuas are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Tucson Padres were a minor league baseball team representing Tucson, Arizona in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). They were the Triple-A affiliate for the San Diego Padres. The San Antonio Missions are a Minor League Baseball team of the Texas League and the Double-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Lake Elsinore Storm are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Eugene Emeralds (nicknamed the Ems) are a Minor League Baseball team in the northwest United States, based in Eugene, Oregon. The Orleans Firebirds, formerly the Orleans Cardinals, are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Orleans, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's East Division. The Firebirds play their home games at Eldredge Park in Orleans, which opened in 1913 and is the CCBL's oldest ballpark.
