Jorge Gallent
Jorge Gallent (born June 18, 1968) is a Filipino professional basketball assistant coach for the San Miguel Beermen in the Philippine Basketball Association. University Athletic Association of the Philippines Gallent participated in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines for the FEU Tamaraws Men's Basketball team but it ended as the result of a motorcycle accident and lost his right eye in 1988 in Alabang Hills. He then shifted into non contact sports and became a topnotch junior golfer. Development league In the Philippine Basketball League, Gallent saw action for the A&W Root Beer team in 1992. He was also part of the Stag Pale Pilsen grandslam team. He would serve as an assistant coach to the Welcoat Paintmasters. The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, or simply known as the Magnolia Hotshots, are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team is owned by San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc., a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation (SMC). 2008–09 PBA Season
The 2008–09 PBA season was the 34th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season formally opened on October 4, 2008 and ended on July 17, 2009. This was the first time that the league will hold their opening ceremonies on a Saturday. The league started the season with the 2008-09 Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference, while capping off the season with the import-laiden 2009 Fiesta Conference. The first activity of the season was the 2008 PBA Draft last August 31 at the Market! Market! in Taguig. Joseller "Yeng" Medina Guiao (born March 19, 1959) is a Filipino professional basketball head coach, politician, commentator and sports commissioner. He is currently the head coach of the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters of the Philippine Basketball Association. He previously served as the interim head coach of the Philippine national team. Guiao won seven PBA titles since starting his head coaching job for Swift in the early 1990s. He is a former Philippine Basketball League commissioner from 1997 to 2000. Dindo Pumaren
Ferdinand "Dindo" Pumaren, is a retired Filipino professional basketball player and former collegiate coach. In his professional playing career, he was nicknamed "The Bullet" due to his great passing and stealing. Early career Pumaren suited up for San Beda in high school, teaming up with fellow future pros Magsanoc, Altamirano, Paras, Gerry Esplana and Macky de Joya in a formidable squad that won the NCAA and the national secondary crowns in the early 80s. The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association owned by Asian Coatings Philippines, Inc.
