Jorge Arteaga (racing Driver)
Jorge Arteaga (born March 28, 1986, in Aguascalientes) is a Mexican Auto racing, racing driver and Entrepreneurship, entrepreneur. He competed in the NASCAR Toyota Series. He won the NASCAR's Most Popular Driver Award, Most Popular Driver award for the Mexican Series three straight times, from 2009 to 2011. He also drove the No. 8 Toyota Camry for Revolution Racing in the K&N Pro Series East. NASCAR career Corona Series Jorge entered the NASCAR Corona Series after establishing himself at age 20 in the Mexico feeder NASCAR Mexico T4 Series, T4 Series in 2007. After an impressive season, he made the transition to the NASCAR Corona Series for the 2008 season shortly after the franchise was established. Aguascalientes (; ), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Aguascalientes ( es, Estado Libre y Soberano de Aguascalientes), is one of the 32 states which comprise the Political divisions of Mexico, Federal Entities of Mexico. NASCAR Mexico T4 Series
The NASCAR Mexico T4 Series was a semi-professional four-cylinder racing series in Mexico. The series was superseded in 2011 by NASCAR Stock V6 Series with six-cylinders cars. The T4 Series featured the largest grid in Mexican motor sports, with more than 30 teams running full-time and a few others doing a limited schedule. It is also notorious for the diversity of its drivers. As the series allows drivers to debut at age 15, several young Mexican talents are choosing the T4 Series to start their NASCAR careers. Dodge is an American brand of automobiles and a division of Stellantis, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Sergio Peña (racing Driver)
Sergio Peña (born February 13, 1993) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competed in what is now the ARCA Menards Series East for seven years from 2010 to 2016. In addition, he has made starts in the West Series and was a member of NASCAR's Drive for Diversity program. Racing career Peña's father bought him a dirt bike at age 4. He began racing at age 13, driving motocross, go-karts, and Formula cars, which included competing in the Formula BMW series. Drive For Diversity
The Drive for Diversity (D4D) program is a development system instituted by the American auto racing league NASCAR. The program's purpose is to attract minority and female individuals to the sport, primarily as drivers, but also including ownership, sponsorship, and crew member roles, and to attract a more diverse audience to the sport. Before an applicant is accepted into the program, their resumes are checked by NASCAR officials. The system is similar to a driver development program where applicants progress through minor-league and regional racing levels to prepare them for a possible shot at one of NASCAR's three national series. The program was started during the 2004 season by NASCAR marketing executives in order to attract female and minority fans and drivers to the historically white and male-dominated sport.
