Jordan Hall (lacrosse)
Jordan Rhys Hall (born August 31, 1984) is a Canadian lacrosse player from Surrey, British Columbia who plays for the Rochester Knighthawks in the National Lacrosse League and the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. College career Hall attended University of Delaware, where he played alongside Alex Smith to help the Blue Hens reach the 2007 NCAA Division I Men's Final Four. In 2006, he was named Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year. Professional career Hall was selected in the first round (first overall) by the New York Titans of the National Lacrosse League in the 2007 NLL Entry Draft. A lacrosse scout said that Hall was "the most NLL-ready player in the draft". Hall was awarded "Rookie of the Month" honors in March of the 2008 NLL season. Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens Men's Lacrosse
The Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens men's lacrosse team represents the University of Delaware in NCAA Division I men's college lacrosse. Delaware currently competes as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and plays its home games at Delaware Stadium in Newark, Delaware. History Head coach Bob Shillinglaw led the Blue Hens for over 30 years and is only the second man to coach 500 lacrosse games. In 2007, Delaware was ranked 15th in the country heading into the 2007 NCAA tournament. The team had won seven games in a row and the CAA tournament. Delaware advanced to the semifinals ( Final Four), defeating #2 Virginia before losing to Johns Hopkins 8–3. It marked the team's only NCAA Final Four. The National Lacrosse League entry draft is an annual event where the general managers of National Lacrosse League teams choose eligible players for their rosters from US college programs and Canada's junior lacrosse system. Ben McIntosh
Ben McIntosh (born May 28, 1991, in Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada) is a lacrosse player for the Philadelphia Wings in the National Lacrosse League and Waterdogs Lacrosse Club in the Premier Lacrosse League. Professional career NLL career Ben McIntosh was selected first overall in the 2015 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft by the Edmonton Rush who had received the pick in a trade with the Minnesota Swarm. In his rookie season in the National Lacrosse League McIntosh had a tremendous initial season collecting 37 goals, 49 assist and 86 points in his 18 starts with the Rush. McIntosh won 2015 NLL's rookie of the year award with seven first place votes and also helped lead the Rush to its first NLL title. Shawn Williams (born June 20, 1974 in Scarborough, Ontario) is the inaugural General Manager and Head Coach of the Las Vegas Desert Dogs in the National Lacrosse League (NLL). He is a former Canadian lacrosse player who played for the Ontario Raiders, Toronto Rock, Buffalo Bandits, Rochester Knighthawks and Edmonton Rush of the NLL and the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. He was also previously a scout for the Buffalo Bandits and assistant coach with the Colorado Mammoth. He was inducted to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2021 as a first ballot nominee. Box Lacrosse
Box lacrosse, also known as boxla, box, or indoor lacrosse, is an indoor version of lacrosse played mostly in North America. The game originated in Canada in the 1930s, where it is more popular than field lacrosse. Lacrosse is Canada's official national summer sport. Box lacrosse is played between two teams of five players and one goalie each, and is traditionally played on an ice hockey rink once the ice has been removed or covered. The playing area is called a box, in contrast to the open playing field of field lacrosse. Paul Rabil (born December 14, 1985), is an American former professional lacrosse player and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League. He played for the Cannons Lacrosse Club and Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, as well as the Boston Cannons and the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse and the San Jose/Washington Stealth and Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League.
