Jonny Ross
Jonathan Stewart Ross is a Northern Irish bowler who was born in Lisburn. He now represents Scotland after moving there. Bowls career He was part of the winning Irish Fours team in the 2004 World Bowls Championships held in Ayr, Scotland with Jim Baker, Neil Booth and Noel Graham. He also won the British Isles Singles titles in 2001 and 2002 and was the first Irish player to win the Scottish outdoors singles title. Jonathan partnered Noel Graham to win the prestigious Hong Kong International Bowls Classic pairs title on a record equalling three occasions. In 2006, he represented Northern Ireland at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. Neil Booth
Neil Booth (born 19 February 1968) is a former Northern Irish international lawn and indoor bowler and bowls team coach and manager. Bowls career Booth has won three World Championship medals starting with the gold medal in the fours at the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Ayr with Jonathan Ross, Noel Graham and Jim Baker. This was followed by two bronze medals in 2012. In addition he has won four Commonwealth Games medals. He won the gold medal in the fours at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur with Gary McCloy, Ian McClure and Martin McHugh. He won a bronze in 2002, a silver medal in 2006 and another silver in 2014. Booth retired from international competition in 2014. Coaching Booth was selected as a coach for the Northern Ireland team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland. The Scottish National Bowls Championships is one of the oldest bowls competitions in the world. The Hong Kong International Bowls Classic is an international lawn bowls competition. It is one of the most prestigious events on the lawn bowls calendar. Noel Henry Graham is a Northern Irish international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career Graham (born 1968) won a bronze medal in the fours at 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria and repeated the feat eight years later at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. In the World Championships he won gold medal in the fours with Jonathan Ross, Neil Booth and Jim Baker and a silver medal with Jim Baker in the pairs during the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship. Jim Baker is a former Northern Irish international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career Baker was born in Belfast on 18 February 1958. After finishing runner-up in the 1982 World Indoor Bowls Championship he went one better in 1984 clinching the World Indoor title. Baker was part of the Gold Medal-winning triples for the combined Irish team in the 1984 World Outdoor Bowls Championship and Gold Medal-winning fours in the 1988 World Outdoor Bowls Championship. In the 2004 World Championships he won a third gold medal for the combined Irish team, in the fours with Jonathan Ross, Noel Graham and Neil Booth and a silver medal with Noel Graham in the pairs during the 2004 World Outdoor Bowls Championship. The World Bowls Championship is the premier world bowls competition between national bowls organisations. The premier indoor event is the World Indoor Bowls Championships listed separately and is organised by the World Bowls Tour. World Outdoor Championships First held in Australia in 1966, the World Outdoor Bowls Championships for men and women are held every four years.
