''Jongens'' (English title: ''Boys'') is a 2014 Dutch made-for-television coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Mischa Kamp and featuring Gijs Blom, Ko Zandvliet and Stijn Taverne. The film was released on 9 February 2014. Plot Sieger is a fifteen-year-old boy, living with his widowed father, Theo, and his brother, Eddy, who, burdened with his mother's death, clashes with and acts out against his father. Along with his best friend (Stef), Sieger is a member of the local athletics team. They—and two other boys, Tom and Marc—are chosen to represent the team at the national championship relay race. Gijsbrecht Thijmen Matthias "Gijs" Blom (born 2 January 1997) is a Dutch actor. He starred in the films ''Jongens'' (2014) and ''The Forgotten Battle'' (2020). He received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his performance in the Netflix fantasy series ''The Letter for the King (TV series), The Letter for the King'' (2020). Mischa Kamp
Mischa Kamp (born in Rotterdam on 7 August 1970) is a Dutch film director best known for the 2014 TV film ''Jongens'' (English title ''Boys''). Career In 1989, Kamp studied communications science at the New School for Information Services in Amsterdam. In 1991 she moved to the Nederlandse Film en Televisie Academie (Dutch Film and Television Academy), where she graduated in 1996 with the short film ''Mijn moeder heeft ook een pistool''. In the same year she was involved in the VPRO production ''Waskracht!''. After several documentaries and short films, she became known in 2005 through the children's film ''Winky's Horse, Het paard van Sinterklaas'' (English title Winky's Horse). It received multiple award nominations and wins, and screenwriter Tamara Bos won a Golden Calf award for Best Screenplay of a Feature Film. The film received a Golden Film for 100,000 visitors. M83 are a French electronic music group formed in Antibes in 1999 and currently based in Los Angeles. Oscar and the Wolf is the moniker for Belgian solo artist Max Colombie. Out on Film, Georgia's gay film festival in Atlanta, was established in 1987 and is one of the oldest gay film festivals in the United States devoted to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
