Jonathan Dixon (actor)
Jonathan Dixon (born 10 August 1988), known professionally as Jonny Dixon, is a British television actor, best known for playing playground bully Matthew "Mooey" Humphries in long-running CBBC show '' Grange Hill''. He appeared in Manchester-based soap opera ''Coronation Street'' as Darryl Morton. He joined the soap in March 2007. Dixon was born in Pudsey. He was a friend of Jack P. Shepherd who plays his on-screen friend David Platt before getting his role in ''Coronation Street''. It was reported on 15 May 2009 that Dixon and co-star Wanda Opalinska would be written out of the soap and would be departing later in the year with it being said that this was due to "natural storyline progression." He last appeared in the episode broadcast on 16 October 2009. In April 2011, Dixon filmed an episode of ''Doctors'', to be broadcast on BBC1 in July 2011. Jonathan Dixon (July 6, 1839 – May 21, 1906) was an American jurist and Republican party politician from New Jersey. He was an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court and was the Republican nominee for Governor of New Jersey in 1883. Biography Dixon was born in Liverpool, England on July 6, 1839. His father, also named Jonathan Dixon, came to the United States in 1848 and was followed in 1850 by his family, settling in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers College in 1859 and was admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1862. He moved to Jersey City to practice law in 1865. Dixon was associated with New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Gilbert Collins until 1875, when he was appointed to be a Supreme Court Justice by Governor Joseph D. Bedle. He was subsequently reappointed by Governors Ludlow, Green, Griggs, and Murphy. His directorial debut horror film Wrath was released in 2011, the comedy Pictocrime (2004), which won best international feature and the LA film festival and shorts ''Body in the Trunk'' (2006) and ''Phillip'' (2007). Jonathan James Dixon (born 16 January 1984) is a film and television producer and director, and a former professional footballer. He played as a striker. Early life Jonathan James Dixon was born on 16 January 1984 in Murcia, Spain. Football career Dixon began his career as a trainee with Wycombe Wanderers, turning professional in August 2001. Following regular reserve team appearances during 2001–02, Dixon was given a squad number by manager Lawrie Sanchez at the beginning of season 2002–03. He made his debut, as a late substitute for Stuart Roberts against Northampton Town on 13 August 2002.
