Jonathan Amon
Jonathan Oluwadara Amon (born April 30, 1999) is an American soccer player who plays as a left winger for Danish Superliga club Lyngby. Youth career Amon played three seasons with the U.S. Soccer Development Academy in Charleston, South Carolina, before getting selected to the U.S. Soccer U15 National Team Camp in 2014. Amon found his way to FC Nordsjaelland by virtue of a serendipitous chain of events that began with him being invited to attend a camp in Denmark at the invitation of scout Kenn Schmidt Nielsen of the Global Elite FC / Global Football School USA, Inc. While in Denmark, Scout Nielsen took him to tryouts at two clubs (Brøndby IF and FC Nordsjælland) and he grew to like the student and training environment at the KIES School, where the camp was held, and Scout Kenn helped him to enroll KIES. United States Men's National Under-20 Soccer Team
The United States U-20 men's national soccer team is controlled by the United States Soccer Federation. The highest level of competition in which the team competes is the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which is held every two years. The United States' best finish came in the 1989 FIFA World Youth Championship, when the U.S. beat Iraq in the quarterfinal before losing to Nigeria in overtime in the semifinal and Brazil in the third-place match. Steve Snow tied for second in the tournament with three goals. The U.S. reached the quarterfinals in 1993 but lost to Brazil. After missing out in 1995, the U.S. began a run of six consecutive qualifications in 1997, reaching the second round in five consecutive tournaments. 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup
The 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup was the fourteenth tournament of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, and the eleventh played since the change in age limits from under 16s to Under 17s in 1991. It was held in Mexico with games being played amongst various venues between 18 June and 10 July 2011. Mexico won the Cup, being the first team to achieve it as hosts defeating Uruguay 2–0 and managing their second title in the category. It was confirmed by the 58th FIFA Congress in Sydney, Australia that Mexico would be the host, beating other bids from the Czech Republic and Iran. The 2024–25 Danish Superliga (officially the 3F Superliga for sponsorship purposes) is the 35th season of the Danish Superliga. The season began on 19 July 2024. Midtjylland is the defending champion after securing the 2023-24 title on the last day of the season. Teams Sønderjyske won the 2023–24 Danish 1st Division returning to the Superliga after a two-year stint at the lower division, and AaB made an immediate return to the top flight by finishing second in the 1st Division. The 2019–20 Danish Superliga (officially the 3F Superliga for sponsorship reasons) was the 30th season of the Danish Superliga. F.C. Copenhagen were the defending champions. The season started on 12 July 2019 and was scheduled to end in May 2020, before being suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season instead ended on 29 July 2020. Teams Vejle Boldklub finished as loser in the relegation play-offs in the 2018–19 season and was relegated to the 2019–20 1st Division along with Vendsyssel FF who lost their relegation play-offs as well.
