The 2020–21 season was Nordsjælland's 24th season in existence as a football club, 17th under the current name, and 19th consecutive season in the Superliga, the top-flight of football in the country. In addition to the domestic league, the club also competed in this season's edition of the Danish Cup, losing out in the third round to second division side Hvidovre Hvidovre is the main town in Hvidovre Municipality, Denmark. FC Nordsjælland
Football Club Nordsjælland, commonly known as FC Nordsjælland, Nordsjælland () or FCN, is a professional Danish football team from the North Zealand town of Farum. Founded as ''Farum Boldklub'' from the merger of the town's two football clubs Farum IK and Stavnsholt BK in 1991, the club changed its name to FC Nordsjælland in 2003. FCN plays in the Danish Superliga, winning its first medal in the 2002–03 season, taking third place. Since then, the ''Wild Tigers'' have made four appearances in Europe under both the old UEFA Cup format in 2003–04, 2008–09 and in the UEFA Europa League during the 2010–11 and 2011–12 seasons. Magnus Kofod Andersen (born 10 May 1999) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Venezia. Club career Kofod started playing football at a local club called Hundested IK. Later, he got contacted by scouts from FC Nordsjælland, and joined the club at the age of 10. Kofod's first senior experience was on 17 February 2017, where he sat on the bench for the whole game against Lyngby Boldklub. He got his debut for FC Nordsjælland on 17 July 2017. Martin Vantruba (born 7 February 1998) is a Slovak footballer who plays for Spartak Trnava as a goalkeeper. Club career Vantruba was promoted to Spartak Trnava first team in summer 2016. Ivan Mesík (born 1 June 2001) is a Slovak professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Eredivisie club Heracles Almelo. Jonathan Oluwadara Amon (born April 30, 1999) is an American soccer player who plays as a left winger for Danish Superliga club Lyngby. Oliver Villadsen (born 16 November 2001), is a Danish professional footballer player who plays as a right back for FC Nordsjælland. Career FC Nordsjælland Villadsen began playing football when he was 2.5-years old. At the age of 10, Villadsen started playing football in Blovstrød IF, where his father was the coach.
