Jonas Odell
Jonas Odell (born 10 November 1962 in Stockholm) is a Swedish music video and film director and founder of FilmTecknarna. Odell, who specializes in a mix of animation and live action, has directed a number of short films, music videos and commercials. His short film '' Never Like the First Time!'' (''Aldrig som första gången!'') was awarded the Golden Bear for best short film in the Berlin International Film Festival 2006. He has won two Swedish Guldbagge Awards for Best Short Film, for ''Never Like the First Time!'' (2006) and '' Lies'' (''Lögner'') (2008). ''Lies'' also received the Jury Prize for International Short Filmmaking at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Audio Bullys are an English electronic music project, originally consisting of Simon Franks and Tom Dinsdale. The group were once managed by the DJ and presenter George Lamb. Franks and Dinsdale released their debut album '' Ego War'' in 2003, and two years later followed up with ''Generation'', which featured a collaboration with Suggs and keyboardist Mike Barson of Madness on the track "This Road" and a collaboration with Suggs and Madness saxophonist Lee Thompson on the subsequent track "Struck by the Sound". Feeder are a Welsh rock band formed in Newport in 1994. They have released 11 studio albums, 12 compilations, four EPs and 43 singles, spending a combined total of 184 weeks on the singles and albums charts as of 2019, while accumulating 25 top 75 singles between 1997 and 2012. "Feeling a Moment" is a song by Welsh rock band Feeder from their fifth studio album, ''Pushing the Senses'' (2005). It was released as the second single from the album on 4 April 2005 and reached number 13 on the UK Singles Chart. The song also reached number 32 in Australia, becoming Feeder's only song to chart there. At the end of 2005, it was voted the 98th best song of the year by the readers of Q Magazine. Tahiti 80 are a French indie pop band from Rouen. The group was founded in 1992 by Xavier Boyer, Pedro Resende, Médéric Gontier and Sylvain Marchand. History Singer and guitarist Boyer and bassist Resende formed the pop combo as students at the University of Rouen. Taking their name from a souvenir t-shirt given to Boyer's father in 1980, the duo recruited guitarist Mederic Gontier, and with the addition of drummer Sylvain Marchand a year later, the lineup was complete. El Presidente (band)
El Presidente (also written El Pres!dente) was a pop rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. Formed in 2002 by Gun member Dante Gizzi, the band gained major exposure with slots at T in the Park 2005, V Festival 2005 and again at T in the Park in 2006. The band have also supported Oasis, Duran Duran, Simple Minds and Kasabian on major tours of the UK. History Whilst touring in France with Gun, Gizzi came up with the name El Presidente and after Gun split, began working on his own songs. Rocket (El Presidente Song)
"Rocket" is the first single from El Presidente. It was a limited (1000 Copies) Red 10" vinyl release. The B-side was Rocket-Beef Music Mix. It reached number 37 on the UK Singles Chart. Not much is known about when the song was recorded or who plays on it apart from Liam Nugent (Das Bold) is credited as backing vocals, and Ross Galloway (Roscoe P. Coltrane) is credited as Synths. The video for the song, directed by Jonas Odell, cost around £20,000 to produce. The music video of the song is one of those available on the PlayStation Portable demo disc. The song was used on football programmes on Sky Sports in the background when the matches that were being shown that week were said.
