Jon Clarke (rugby Union)
Jon Clarke (born 22 October 1983 in Sheffield, Yorkshire, England) is a rugby union player for Yorkshire Carnegie in the RFU Championship. He plays primarily as a centre and also occasionally at full-back or on the wing. He has represented the England Saxons team and many have suggested he should be given a chance in the full England rugby union team with other young players like Mathew Tait, Dan Hipkiss and James Simpson-Daniel. Clarke, born in Sheffield, has played a total of 165 games for the Saints and scored 32 tries. Clarke started his pro career as part of the all conquering Bristol Academy under Paul Hull. He was a tall long-striding and elusive player, excelling at full back for England Under 21s in a Grand Slam season. Jon Clarke (born 4 April 1979) is an English former professional rugby league player who played as a . He is currently a strength & conditioning coach for the England and British & Irish Lions rugby union teams. He played for the Wigan Warriors, London Broncos, Warrington Wolves and Widnes Vikings. Playing career He represented Great Britain Academy as captain whilst coming through the junior ranks at Wigan Warriors, he played in their 1997 Premiership Final winning side against St. Helens. He followed his Wigan Warriors coach John Monie to the London Broncos in 2000, but returned north in 2001 when the Warrington Wolves were forced to sign a on loan to solve an injury crisis. Jonathan "Jonty" Clarke (born in Essex) is an English field hockey player who plays as a forward. Competing for England and Great Britain at numerous tournaments, he represented Great Britain in Field hockey at the 2008 Summer Olympics and at the 2012 Summer Olympics. Clarke was brought up in the town of Southend and was educated at Southend High School for Boys and was a prominent hockey player there. Jonathan Clark Rogers (September 7, 1885 – October 24, 1967) was President of the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens from 1949 until 1950. Early life Born in 1885 in Richmond, Indiana, Rogers earned his B.S. at Piedmont College in 1906 and his civil engineering degree (B.S.C.E) from Earlham College the following year. He also earned an M.A. from Columbia University in 1927. In 1934 he received an honorary EdD degree from Piedmont College. Service in education Rogers taught at Oakwood Seminary in Union Springs, New York until 1911 when he joined Piedmont College . There he taught and served as Dean until 1934 when he became President of North Georgia College in Dahlonega. Rogers assumed the presidency at NGC shortly after it was reduced to a junior college in 1933.
