Jombola
Jombola is a racket sport combining several features of other racket sports, similar to pickleball in United States. It was independently developed by Sukdev Singh from Malaysia in 2006. History Sukdev Singh, principal of Sri Dasmesh International School in Taman Bukit Pantai, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, conceived the game using a wooden racquet, balls made of foam, and a badminton court. The game uses a 15 points scoring system. He also planned to make Jombola as Olympics demonstration sport between 2028 to 2032. As the game grown in popularity in the country, Jombola International Sdn Bhd was founded in 2010 to promote and manage the development of Jombola sport. The sports was introduced to Selangor state education department in 2014. Malaysian Ministry of Education included this sport under 1Student1Sport programme in 2017 for secondary schools. Pickleball
Pickleball is an indoor or outdoor racket/paddle sport where two players (singles), or four players (doubles), hit a perforated hollow polymer ball over a net using solid-faced paddles. Opponents on either side of the net hit the ball back and forth until one side commits a rule infraction. Pickleball was invented in 1965 as a children's backyard game on Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA. In 2022, pickleball was adopted as the official state sport of Washington. The appearance of a pickleball court, and the manner of play, resemble tennis, but the court is the size of a doubles badminton court, less than a third the size of a tennis court. Court lines and rules are specific to pickleball and include two on either side of the net known as the ''non-volley zones'', where the ball cannot be hit with the paddle unless the ball bounces first. Demonstration Sport
A demonstration sport, or exhibition sport, is a sport which is played to promote it, rather than as part of standard medal competition. This occurs commonly during the Olympic Games, but may also occur at other sporting events. Demonstration sports were officially introduced in the 1912 Summer Olympics, when Sweden decided to include glima, traditional Icelandic wrestling, in the Olympic program, but with its medals not counting as official. Most organizing committees then decided to include at least one demonstration sport at each edition of the Games, usually some typical or popular sport in the host country, like baseball at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games and taekwondo at the 1988 Seoul Olympic Games. East Malaysia (), or the Borneo States, also known as Malaysian Borneo, is the part of Malaysia on and near the island of Borneo, the world's third-largest island.
