Thorleifs was a Swedish dansband, formed in 1962 in Norrhult, Kronoberg County, Sweden and led by Thorleif Torstensson. The band sings in Swedish and many other languages, and released some albums in German. It also took part in Melodifestivalen 2009 Melodifestivalen 2009 was a Sweden, Swedish song contest held between February and March 2009. (; "dance band"), or in Norwegian and Danish, is a Swedish term for a band that plays ("dance band music"). ' is often danced to in pairs. Jitterbug and foxtrot music are often included in this category. The music is primarily inspired by swing, schlager, country, jazz, and rock. Thorleif Torstensson
Thorleif Torstensson (26 June 1949 – 10 January 2021) was a Swedish singer, saxophonist and guitarist. He was the lead singer of the danceband Thorleifs from its inception in 1962. Torstensson along with Thorleifs took part in Melodifestivalen 2009 with the song " Sweet Kissin' in the Moonlight". He took part as a celebrity contestant on Kändisdjungeln which was broadcast on TV4 in 2009.
