John Wood (born 14 July 1946) is an Australian television Gold Logie Award-winning actor and scriptwriter. Wood has appeared in numerous theatre and TV productions, but is best known for his roles in the legal drama ''Rafferty's Rules'' as Stipendiary Magistrate Michael Rafferty and in the long-running police drama ''Blue Heelers'', as Tom Croydon both for the Seven Network. Biography Early career Wood began his acting career in 1966, attending National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and doing a play called ''Eh?'' directed by Max Gillies and co-starring Tony Taylor. In 1970 he became a professional actor and worked for the Old Tote Theatre Company in a production of ''Death of a Salesman''. Murray Farquhar
Murray Farquhar OBE (7 July 19183 December 1993) was an Australian jurist. He was the Chief Stipendiary Magistrate of New South Wales between 1971 and 1977. Farquhar was born in Broken Hill, New South Wales. He attended Broken Hill High School and served in the Australian Army in the Second World War. After his military service, he studied law, practised as a solicitor and was appointed a magistrate in 1962. He was appointed Chief Stipendiary Magistrate in 1971. He was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (Military Division) in January 1967. A Royal Commission conducted by Sir Laurence Street into the alleged involvement of both Farquhar and Premier of New South Wales Neville Wran in the acquittal of former head of the Australian Rugby League, Kevin Humphreys on fraud charges, resulted in Farquhar in March 1985 being sentenced to four years' gaol for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice. HSV7
HSV is a television station in Melbourne, Australia. It is part of the Seven Network, one of the three main commercial television networks in Australia, its first and oldest station. It launched in time for the 1956 Summer Olympic Games in Melbourne. HSV-7 is the home of Australian Football League, AFL coverage. The HSV building (also known as 'Broadcast Centre Melbourne') was the network's operations hub, where the Master Control Room was located, controlling all metropolitan and regional feeds. Programming lineup, advertisement output, feed switching, time zone monitoring and national transmission output was previously delivered there.
