John Thompson (American Football Coach)
John Thompson (born October 16, 1955) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at East Carolina University from 2003 to 2004 and at Arkansas State University on an interim basis twice—first during the 2013 GoDaddy.com Bowl and then in the 2014 GoDaddy Bowl. He has compiled a career college football coaching record of 5–20. Coaching career Thompson was hired by head coach Ed Orgeron, who played under Thompson at Northwestern State University. Thompson has also served as the defensive coordinator at the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of Alabama, the University of Arkansas, the University of Florida, Louisiana State University, Louisiana Tech, and the University of Memphis. Texas State Bobcats Football
The Texas State Bobcats football program Texas State University in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) level. They play in the Sun Belt Conference. The program began in 1904 and has an overall winning record. The program has a total of 14 conference titles, nine of them being outright conference titles. Northwestern State University of Louisiana (NSU) is a public university primarily situated in Natchitoches, Louisiana, with a nursing campus in Shreveport and general campuses in Leesville/Fort Polk and Alexandria. Ed Orgeron
Edward James Orgeron Jr. (; born July 27, 1961) is an American football coach. He was most recently the head football coach at Louisiana State University (LSU), a position he held from midway through the 2016 season until the 2021 season. Orgeron previously served as the head football coach at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) from 2005 to 2007 and was the interim head coach at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2013. He led the 2019 LSU Tigers football team to a national championship, beating the defending champions Clemson in the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship. The 2014 GoDaddy Bowl was an American college football bowl game that was played on January 5, 2014, at the Ladd–Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.
