John T. Lyle
John T. Lyle (1934–1998) was a professor of landscape architecture at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona); the Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies at Cal Poly Pomona and the Lyle plaza at the entrance to Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies at Oberlin College are named after him. He is the author of such books as ''Regenerative Design for Sustainable Development'' and ''Design for Human Ecosystems''. California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona, CPP, or Cal Poly"Cal Poly" may also refer to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in San Luis Obispo. It is one of three polytechnic universities in the California State University system. Cal Poly Pomona began as the southern campus of the California Polytechnic School (today known as Cal Poly San Luis Obispo) in 1938 when the Voorhis School for Boys and its adjacent farm in the city of San Dimas were donated by Charles Voorhis and his son Jerry Voorhis.
