John Mouradian
National Lacrosse League (NLL) Johnny "Gypsy" Mouradian holds 9 NLL Championships in a variety of roles with NLL organizations. He is the only general manager to win five championships. Mouradian's National Lacrosse League experience as a General Manager (GM) dates back to 1992 with the expansion Buffalo Bandits. In 1992, the team that he built won the NLL Champions Cup in its inaugural season. Under his management, Buffalo set records for winning that remain intact today, including the longest winning streak (22 games) and the only team to go undefeated through the entire season in league history (10-0 in 1993), winning their second Champions Cup and their third in 1996. Philadelphia Wings (1987–2014)
The Philadelphia Wings were a member of the National Lacrosse League, a professional box lacrosse league in North America starting in 1987. They played at the Spectrum (1987–96) and then at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Wings were one of the four original teams in the Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League that began play in 1987 and the only team to reclaim its identity from the original 1974–75 National Lacrosse League and also retained the first Philadelphia Wings logo. The Eagle Pro Box Lacrosse League was renamed the Major Indoor Lacrosse League in 1989, and again to the National Lacrosse League in 1998. They are the only franchise to have played all 24 seasons in the same city. Washington Stealth
The Washington Stealth were a member of the National Lacrosse League, the professional box lacrosse league of North America from the 2010 NLL season through the 2013 NLL season. They were based in Everett (part of the Seattle metropolitan area), with home games played at the 8,513-seat Comcast Arena at Everett. The team was previously known as the Albany Attack from 2000 until 2003, and later the San Jose Stealth from 2004 until 2009. On July 24, 2012, the Stealth and Comcast Arena announced that they had agreed to new terms on a five-year lease that will keep the team in Everett through the 2017 season. 2000 NLL Season
The 2000 National Lacrosse League season is the 14th season in the NLL that began on January 7, 2000 and concluded with the championship game on May 6, 2000. The Toronto Rock defeated the Rochester Knighthawks 14-13. Kaleb Toth scored the winning goal with less than two seconds left in regulation to give the Rock their second straight championship. Team movement One expansion team was added to the NLL for the 2000 season, the Albany Attack. In addition, the Baltimore Thunder left Baltimore and became the Pittsburgh CrosseFire, though the franchise would only last a single season in Pittsburgh before moving to Washington. The National Lacrosse League (NLL) is a men's professional box lacrosse league in North America. The league is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The NLL currently has fifteen teams: ten in the United States and five in Canada. The NLL ranks third in average attendance for pro indoor sports worldwide, behind only the National Hockey League, NHL and National Basketball Association, NBA. 2010 NLL Season
The 2010 National Lacrosse League season, the 24th in the history of the NLL, began on January 8, 2010 and ended with the Championship game on May 15. Team movement After five seasons in San Jose, the Stealth announced shortly after the 2009 season ended that they would be relocating to Everett, Washington, approximately 30 miles north of Seattle. The Washington Stealth will play at the Comcast Arena. In addition it was announced on May 4, 2009 that after four seasons in Portland, the Lumberjax would no longer operate in that city and on July 7, 2009 the NLL held a dispersal draft for the Lumberjax players. On August 10, 2009 it was announced that after three seasons in New York City, the Titans franchise will be relocating to Orlando, Florida, where they will become the Orlando Titans. 2003 NLL Season
The 2003 National Lacrosse League season is the 17th season in the NLL that began on December 27, 2002, and concluded with the championship game on May 3, 2003. In 2003, the NLL became the first major men's sports league in North America to feature a woman playing in a regular-season game. Ginny Capicchioni, a stand-out goaltender at Sacred Heart University, was signed by the New Jersey Storm as their third-string goaltender. She dressed for three games, though only played in one. Capicchioni collected one loose ball and made six saves while allowing 7 goals in 11 minutes of play. Team movement 2003 saw the Montreal Express suspend operations, and also saw the Washington Power move to Colorado, where even they were unprepared for the warm welcome they received in Denver. San Jose Stealth
The San Jose Stealth were a member of the National Lacrosse League, the professional box lacrosse league of North America from 2004 NLL season, 2004 until 2009 NLL season, 2009. They played at the HP Pavilion at San Jose, which is also the home of the National Hockey League, NHL's San Jose Sharks and the Arena Football League (1987–2008), AFL's San Jose SaberCats. They relocated to San Jose, California in 2003, beginning play in the 2004 NLL season. They had previously been the Albany Attack from 2000 NLL season, 2000 to 2003 NLL season, 2003.
