John Logan (writer)
John David Logan (born September 24, 1961) is an American playwright and filmmaker. He is known for his work as a screenwriter for such films as Tim Burton's '' Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'' (2007) and Sam Mendes's James Bond films ''Skyfall'' (2012) and ''Spectre'' (2015). He is a three-time Academy Award nominee: twice for Best Original Screenplay for ''Gladiator'' (2000) and '' The Aviator'' (2004), and once for Best Adapted Screenplay for '' Hugo'' (2011). He has also been nominated for two Tony Awards: Best Play for '' Red'' in 2010 and Best Book of a Musical for ''Moulin Rouge!'' in 2020, winning for the former. The Donmar Warehouse is a 251-seat, not-for-profit theatre in Covent Garden, London, England. It first opened on 18 July 1977. Sam Mendes, Michael Grandage and Josie Rourke have all served as artistic director, a post held since 2019 by Michael Longhurst. Riverview Park was an amusement park in Chicago, Illinois, which operated from 1904 to 1967. It was located on in an area bound on the south by Belmont Avenue, on the east by Western Avenue, on the north by Lane Tech College Prep High School, and on the west by the North Branch of the Chicago River. Leopold And Loeb
Nathan Freudenthal Leopold Jr. (November 19, 1904 – August 29, 1971) and Richard Albert Loeb (; June 11, 1905 – January 28, 1936), usually referred to collectively as Leopold and Loeb, were two wealthy students at the University of Chicago who kidnapped and murdered 14-year-old Bobby Franks in Chicago, Illinois, United States, in May 1924. They committed the murder – characterized at the time as "the crime of the century" – hoping to demonstrate superior intellect, which they believed enabled and entitled them to carry out a "perfect crime" without consequences. After the two men were arrested, Loeb's family retained Clarence Darrow as lead counsel for their defense.
