John King (journalist)
John King (born August 30, 1963) is an American news anchor. He is CNN's chief national correspondent, based in Washington, D.C., and is the weekday anchor of its roundtable political discussion program ''Inside Politics''. He formerly anchored '' State of the Union'' and '' John King, USA''. Personal life King was born in Boston. He is of Irish descent with ancestors from Dún Locháin, Co. Galway. He attended Boston Latin School, and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Rhode Island. John King and Jean Makie, his first wife, have two children, named Noah and Hannah. On May 25, 2008, King married his second wife, fellow CNN anchor Dana Bash. Before marrying Bash, King (previously a Roman Catholic) converted to Judaism, Bash's religion. Bash and King have a son, Jonah, who was born in June 2011. The couple separated in March 2012. New Day (TV Program)
''New Day'' is an American morning television show that aired on CNN and CNN International from 2013 to 2022. Its weekday editions were co-anchored by John Berman since 2018 and Brianna Keilar since 2021. Since May 20, 2019, ''New Day'' has been broadcast live from CNN's new set located in Studio 19Y, at CNN's new base, 30 Hudson Yards, in New York City. Beginning in April 2021, the show was anchored by Keilar at the CNN DC Studios and by Berman at 30 Hudson Yards in New York. The program aired from 6.00 to 9.00 a.m, except on Sundays, when the program finishes at 8am. The program began in June 2013, where it was presented by three anchors: Chris Cuomo, Kate Bolduan and Michaela Pereira. It was broadcast from Time Warner Center. In 2014, Bolduan departed the show and was replaced by Alisyn Camerota, and in 2016 Pereira also left, but was not replaced. Cuomo departed the show in 2018, and was replaced by John Berman. ''Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer'' is a Sunday talk show hosted by Wolf Blitzer on CNN and broadcast around the world by CNN International. The show's slogan was ''The last word in Sunday talk'' and comments made on the show were often featured in the following Monday's news headlines. The show, launched on October 3, 1993, was moderated by Frank Sesno until January 11, 1998, and by Wolf Blitzer from January 18, 1998 to January 11, 2009. The program aired at 11:00 AM ET and thus was the last of the Sunday talk shows to air in most East Coast markets, hence the name "Late Edition." (It was, however, the first to air on the West Coast, at 8:00 AM PT, since its other broadcast network competitors, including Fox News Sunday, aired on same-day tape delay on the West Coast at various times). ''The Daily Show'' is an American late-night talk and satirical news television program. It airs each Monday through Thursday on Comedy Central with release shortly after on Paramount+. ''The Daily Show'' draws its comedy and satire form from recent news stories as well as political figures, media organizations, and often uses self-referential humor. The half-hour-long show premiered on July 22, 1996, and was first hosted by Craig Kilborn until December 17, 1998. Jon Stewart then took over as the host from January 11, 1999, until August 6, 2015, making the show more strongly focused on political satire and news satire, in contrast with the pop culture focus during Kilborn's tenure.
