John Ivory Talbot
John Ivory-Talbot ( – October 1772), of Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire, was an English landowner and politician who sat in the British House of Commons, House of Commons between 1715 and 1741. Ivory was the eldest son of Sir John Ivory of New Ross, County Wexford and his wife Anne Talbot, eldest daughter and coheiress of John Talbot of Lacock, Sir John Talbot, MP of Lacock Abbey. His father died when he was an infant in 1695. He matriculated at Christ Church, Oxford on 23 April 1707. In 1714, he succeeded to the Wiltshire estates of his grandfather, Sir John Talbot, and assumed the additional name of Talbot. Michael Dahl (1659–1743) was a Swedish portrait painter who lived and worked in England most of his career and died there. He was one of the most internationally known Swedish painters of his time. He painted portraits of many aristocrats and some members of royal families, such as Anne, Queen of Great Britain, Queen Anne of Great Britain, Prince George of Denmark and the exiled Christina, Queen of Sweden, Queen Christina of Sweden.
