John Connor
John Connor is a fictional Character (arts), character in the Terminator (franchise), ''Terminator'' franchise. Created by screenwriter, writer and film director, director James Cameron, the character is first referred to in the 1984 film ''The Terminator'' and first appears in its 1991 sequel ''Terminator 2: Judgment Day'' (''T2''). In the character's first appearance, John is portrayed by Edward Furlong as a child, and briefly by Michael Edwards (actor), Michael Edwards as an adult in a small role. Other actors have portrayed the character in subsequent films, including Nick Stahl, Christian Bale, and Jason Clarke (as the T-3000). John Connor (mariner)
John Connor (1728–1757) was a mariner who ran the first ferry in Halifax Harbour, Nova Scotia, and was involved in the Attack at Mocodome during Father Le Loutre’s War, which effectively ended the Treaty of 1752. Connor arrived unaccompanied on the Merry Jacks in 1749 with Edward Cornwallis. He later moved to Dartmouth. Mi'kmaw oral tradition indicates that the Mi'kmaq killed Connors pregnant wife Mary and daughter Martha in the Raid on Dartmouth (1751). In February 1752, by the order of the Nova Scotia Council, Connor established the first ferry in Halifax Harbour by the order of the Nova Scotia Council. On 22 December 1752 he assigned his ferry operation to two other mariners. He was later involved in the attack at Mocodome. Connor reported he killed the Mikmaq to escape captivity. John Connor (January 1, 1845 – February 5, 1907) was an American soldier who received the Medal of Honor for his actions during the American Indian Wars Connor was born January 1, 1845, and after joining the United States Army from Jefferson, Texas in July 1869 was assigned to Company H, 6th Cavalry Regiment (United States), 6th Cavalry Regiment in the American Indian Wars. He participated in combat in Texas on the Wichita River on July 12, 1870, and received the Medal of Honor for what was described as "gallantry in action" there. He was promoted Sergeant the following December, and was discharged in July 1874. He re-enlisted in January 1875, joining the 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment (United States), 2nd Artillery Regiment, and served until December 1890. He died on February 5, 1907, and is buried in the United States Soldiers' and Airmen's Home National Cemetery, Washington, D.C. His grave can be found in section K-7258. John Connor is an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the Illinois Senate and Illinois House of Representatives. Political career In 2017, Connor was appointed to the Illinois House of Representatives. Connor assumed the position following the resignation of Emily McAsey in June 2017.
