John Clark (American Actor)
John Clark (January 18, 1933 in New Jersey – September 9, 2011 in St. Augustine, Florida) was an American actor who had minor roles in mainly western films. He made an appearance in " The Silence" episode of '' Twilight Zone'' as a club member alongside Franchot Tone, Liam Sullivan, and Jonathan Harris which was broadcast on CBS on 28 April 1961. Clark appeared in ''Battle of the Bulge'' in 1965 and had an extensive run in Spaghetti Westerns of the late 1960s and early 1970s. In 1968 he had a minor role as Hockett in the British western film of that year, '' Shalako'', starring Sean Connery and Brigitte Bardot. In 1970, Clark had a role as a prison captain in John Guillermin's Spaghetti Western picture '' El Condor''. The film, like most of his other films of this period, was shot on location in Almería, Spain. John Clark (actor)
Ivan John Clark (born 1 November 1932) is an English actor, director, producer and writer. Clark is probably best known for his role as Just William in theatre and radio in the late 1940s and as the former husband of actress Lynn Redgrave, to whom he was married for 33 years. However, he established himself as a stage actor and director after moving to the United States in 1960, and became noted for directing plays featuring his wife in the 1970s beginning with ''A Better Place'' at Dublin's Gate Theatre (1973), then in America ''The Two of Us'' (1975), '' Saint Joan'' (1977–78), and a tour of ''California Suite'' (1976). In 1981, he co-directed the CBS television series ''House Calls'', in which Redgrave starred. In 1993–94 Clark produced and directed the one-woman play, '' Shakespeare for My Father'' written and performed by Lynn Redgrave, which played on Broadway and then the Haymarket Theatre in London, followed by a tour of Australia and Canada. ''El Condor'' is a 1970 American Western film directed by John Guillermin. Jim Brown and Lee Van Cleef lead a band of Apaches (including Iron Eyes Cody) against a fortress commanded by Patrick O'Neal. The fortress is said to contain the gold reserves of Emperor Maximilian. The movie was shot in 35mm Technicolor in Almería, Spain, and involved the construction of the huge adobe fortress set that was re-used in later films, including ''Conan the Barbarian'' (1982) and '' March or Die'' (1977). ''El Condor'' was among the first movies rated R (for violence, explicit language, and nudity). ''The Desperados'' is a 1969 American Western film directed by Henry Levin and starring Vince Edwards and Jack Palance. Plot A ruthless preacher, Parson Josiah Galt, leads a band of Southern marauders during the Civil War that includes his sons, David, Adam and Jacob. The parson has turned vengeful and sadistic since the death of his wife. David can no longer stomach what his family is doing. When his brother Adam tries to rape a girl in a Kansas town that the Galts have just raided and looted, David tries to leave. Catlow
''Catlow'' is a 1971 American Western film, based on a 1963 novel of the same name by Louis L'Amour. It stars Yul Brynner as a renegade outlaw determined to pull off a Confederate gold heist. It co-stars Richard Crenna and Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy mentioned this film in both of his autobiographies because it gave him a chance to break away from his role as Spock on ''Star Trek''. He mentioned that the time he made the film was one of the happiest of his life, even though his part was rather brief.
