John Bramwell
John Harold Arnold Bramwell (born 27 November 1964 in Hyde, Cheshire) is an English singer-songwriter, best known as the frontman for the former three-piece alternative rock band I Am Kloot. Prior to forming I Am Kloot, Bramwell had previously issued solo material under the guise of "Johnny Dangerously". He is left-handed, but plays guitar right-handed. Biography Bramwell was born on 27 November 1964 in Hyde, Cheshire (now part of Tameside, Greater Manchester). He grew up in Gee Cross, Hyde. In the early years, John was the front man of a four-piece band called "The Ignition" that toured in the early to late 1980s. I Am Kloot
I Am Kloot were an English rock band, formed in Manchester in 1999. The band was composed of vocalist/guitarist John Bramwell, bassist Peter Jobson and drummer Andy Hargreaves. The band released six studio albums, and was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2010 for the album '' Sky at Night''. The band split up in 2016, with Bramwell concentrating on a solo career. The origin of the band name was shrouded in secrecy for the majority of the band's existence, with Bramwell stating in 2013 that the band "never said and we never will" confirm the origin of the name and joked that "If I told you, I'd have to kill you". Jobson later claimed that the name I Am Kloot was inspired by the Alan J. Pakula film ''Klute'', and also that "I Am Kloot is a left handed card game made famous in the diaries of Jerome K. Chester Racecourse
Chester Racecourse, also known as the Roodee, is a racecourse located in Chester, England. The horse racing venue is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the "oldest racecourse still in operation". Horse racing in Chester dates back to the early sixteenth century, with 1539 cited as the year racing began, although some sources give a date of 1512 for the first races in Chester. ''The Seldom Seen Kid'' is the fourth studio album by English rock band Elbow. It was released by Fiction Records on 17 March 2008 in the United Kingdom and was released by Geffen Records on 22 April 2008 in the United States. Hebden Bridge
Hebden Bridge is a market town in the Upper Calder Valley in West Yorkshire, England. It is west of Halifax and 14 miles (21 km) north-east of Rochdale, at the confluence of the River Calder and the Hebden Water. The town is the largest settlement in the civil parish of Hebden Royd. ''Live at The Trades'' is a solo live album by John Bramwell. It was released on 25 January 2014 and made available only at Bramwell's live shows. At the end of April 2015, the album was released via Shedhead Records in the form of blue and black vinyl and a gatefold sleeve compact disc. The recording consists of material recorded during Bramwell's concert at The Trades Club, Hebden Bridge, in June 2013. All the songs belong to I Am Kloot's repertoire. The Maccabees were an English indie rock band, formed in 2004 in London. They released four albums: ''Colour It In'' in 2007, followed by ''Wall of Arms'' in 2009, ''Given to the Wild'' which was released on 9 January 2012 and their last album ''Marks to Prove It'' released on 31 July 2015. Felix Andrew Odell White (born 28 September 1984) is a British musician, best known as the guitarist of the British indie rock band The Maccabees. Over My Shoulder (I Am Kloot Song)
"Over My Shoulder" is I Am Kloot's highest-charting single to date, reaching #38 on the UK charts in 2005. It preceded the album ''Gods And Monsters'' which charted lower than their previous album ''I Am Kloot''. The song itself was first released on the Wall of Sound compilation album ''We Love You... So Love Us Too'' and re-recorded for the '' Gods and Monsters'' album. The CD added two B-sides that were originally intended for the cancelled "Proof" single. "Great Escape" is John Bramwell performing on his own with his acoustic guitar, an old song from his solo Johnny Dangerously days and the final B-side "Junk Culture" is a band effort, once again an old Johnny Dangerously song updated. The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings.
