Joeli Veitayaki Jr.
Joeli Veitayaki Jr. (born 14 March 1986) is a Fijian former rugby union international. Veitayaki, a native of Gau Island, is of no relation to the Fiji prop of the same name, but is a nephew of dual-code international Pauliasi Tabulutu. Pauliasi Tabulutu
Pauliasi Tabulutu (born 15 July 1967) is a Fijian former dual-code international rugby footballer. He played as scrum-half. Career Rugby Union His first cap for Fiji was during a match against Tonga at Nuku'alofa, on June 28, 1982. He was part of the 1987 and 1991 World Cup rosters. He last played for the Flying Fijians against Romania, at Brive-la-Gaillarde, on October 12, 1991. Tabulutu was also part of the 1990-1991 Hong Kong sevens team, coached by Kitione Tuibua, which won the Hong Kong Sevens title three years in a row. Prior to the 2005 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Hong Kong, he announced his resignation due to poor results at the World Sevens Series in Wellington and Los Angeles, being replaced by Wayne Pivac, who called up Serevi to the Fiji squad, which won the tournament. In 2004, he replaced Sanivalati Laulau as coach of the Fiji national rugby sevens team, bringing back Waisale Serevi to the team. 2018 National Rugby Championship
The 2018 National Rugby Championship was the fifth season of the top flight of Australian domestic rugby union. The competition began on 1 September and concluded on 27 October. Matches were broadcast on Fox Sports and the championship featured eight professional teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji. The Fijian Drua won their first NRC title, defeating reigning champion side by 36–26 in the grand final held at Churchill Park in Lautoka. The Drua secured home ground advantage in the final by winning the minor premiership for the regular season and then beating in their semifinal. Queensland Country defeated the Western Force in the other semifinal to progress to the grand final. Fijian Drua also finished the season as winners of the Horan-Little Shield for 2018. The Fijian Drua (currently known as the Swire, Swire Shipping Fijian Drua for sponsorship reasons) is a professional rugby union team based in Fiji that competes in the Super Rugby. The team was created by the Fiji Rugby Union and launched in August 2017, shortly before the 2017 National Rugby Championship. The team previously competed in the Australian National Rugby Championship competition between 2017 and 2019, when the tournament was disbanded.
