Joe Vasold
Joseph Vasold (born August 13, 1984) is a lacrosse player who was drafted by the San Jose Stealth in the 5th round (55th overall), during the 2006 NLL Draft. He was also supplementally drafted to the MLL, in 2007, by the San Francisco Dragons. His collegiate career was played at NYIT. As a senior, Vasold earned first team honors on the 2006 STX/USILA All-American teams. He was given STX/USILA Geico Honorable Mention All-American honors and NYCAC Second-Team All-Conference honors as a junior in 2005. San Jose Stealth
The San Jose Stealth were a member of the National Lacrosse League, the professional box lacrosse league of North America from 2004 NLL season, 2004 until 2009 NLL season, 2009. They played at the HP Pavilion at San Jose, which is also the home of the National Hockey League, NHL's San Jose Sharks and the Arena Football League (1987–2008), AFL's San Jose SaberCats. They relocated to San Jose, California in 2003, beginning play in the 2004 NLL season. They had previously been the Albany Attack from 2000 NLL season, 2000 to 2003 NLL season, 2003. On June 17, 2009, the Stealth announced they were moving to Everett, Washington effective immediately, where they would be known as the Washington Stealth. In 2014 they moved to Vancouver and are currently playing as the Vancouver Warriors. San Francisco Dragons
The San Francisco Dragons were a professional field lacrosse team based in San Francisco and San Jose, California. From 2006–2008, they played in Major League Lacrosse and they ceased operations before the 2009 season due to the economic situation in the United States. Franchise history The San Francisco Dragons were awarded an MLL franchise in July 2005. The original owners were Michael Levitt, Chris Bulger, and Charley Biggs. The inaugural season commenced on May 28, 2006, against the Denver Outlaws. They lost the game 15–11, but went on to beat the Outlaws two times later in the season. The Dragons spent their first 2 seasons in Kezar Stadium. The Dragons had a strong inaugural season led by league MVP and Offensive Player of the Year, Ryan Powell. Levittown, New York
Levittown is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York. It is located halfway between the villages of Hempstead and Farmingdale. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a total population of 51,881, making it the most populous CDP in Nassau County and the second most populous CDP on Long Island, behind only Brentwood. Indoor Lacrosse
Box lacrosse, also known as boxla, box, or indoor lacrosse, is an indoor version of lacrosse played mostly in North America. The game originated in Canada in the 1930s, where it is more popular than field lacrosse. Lacrosse is Canada's official national summer sport. Box lacrosse is played between two teams of five players and one goalie each, and is traditionally played on an ice hockey rink once the ice has been removed or covered. The playing area is called a box, in contrast to the open playing field of field lacrosse.
