Joe Morrow
Joseph Mathew Alexander Morrow (born December 9, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who is currently playing for HC Davos of the National League (NL). Morrow played junior hockey with the Portland Winterhawks of the Western Hockey League. He was drafted 23rd overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. In the NHL, Morrow played for the Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets, and New Jersey Devils. Playing career Morrow played four full seasons of junior hockey in the Western Hockey League with the Portland Winterhawks. After the 2011–12 season, Morrow was named to the WHL's First All-Star Team, and had finished second in league scoring among all defencemen. 2011 NHL Entry Draft
The 2011 NHL Entry Draft was the 49th NHL Entry Draft. It was held on June 24–25, 2011, at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was the first time the Draft was held in the state of Minnesota since the Minnesota North Stars hosted the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. Ryan Button
Ryan Button (born March 26, 1991) is a Canadian-German professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently a playing with Grizzlys Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Button was selected by the Boston Bruins in the 3rd round (86th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He has dual citizenship between Canada and Germany with origins in Wuppertal, Germany. Rich Peverley
John Richard Peverley (born July 8, 1982) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He spent four years with the St. Lawrence University hockey team before turning professional, then playing three years for several teams in both the ECHL and American Hockey League (AHL). In 2007, he signed a contract with the Nashville Predators of the NHL, playing for the team for parts of three seasons before the Atlanta Thrashers claimed him off waivers in 2009. Peverley first played internationally for Team Canada at the 2010 World Championships. He retired after the 2013–14 season because of a heart ailment. Brenden Morrow
Brenden Blair Morrow (born January 16, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger. Morrow was drafted in the first round, 25th overall, by the Dallas Stars at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, the organization he would play with for 13 seasons before brief stints with the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, and Tampa Bay Lightning. Morrow played major junior hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the Portland Winter Hawks. During his junior career, he helped Portland win the 1998 Memorial Cup during the 1997–98 season. Internationally, Morrow represented Canada, first winning a silver medal at the 1999 World Junior Championships with the junior team. The Dallas Stars are a professional ice hockey team based in Dallas. Kristopher Joseph Pierre Irwin Letang (born April 24, 1987) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman and Captain (ice hockey)#Alternate captains, alternate captain for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played juniors in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) for three seasons, during which time he was selected 62nd overall by the Penguins in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The 2012–13 NHL lockout was a labor dispute between the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) that began at 11:59 pm EDT on September 15, 2012. A tentative deal on a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) was reached on January 6, 2013, with its ratification and signing of a memorandum of understanding on the agreement completed by January 12, 2013, days after the expiry of the previous CBA. The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL).
