Joseph Carmine Esposito (January 22, 1938 – November 23, 2016) was Elvis Presley's road manager and friend. After Elvis' death, Joe became an author and publisher of several Elvis books. Association with Elvis Presley Esposito is best known for his association with Elvis Presley (see Memphis Mafia). He first met Presley while serving in the military in 1958 at an Army base in Friedberg, West Germany. They both went through basic training at Fort Hood, Texas, but did not meet face to face until a year later when they were both stationed in West Germany, where they quickly became lifelong friends. Esposito became Elvis's road manager and friend beginning in 1960. Esposito served as co-best man, with Marty Lacker at Elvis's wedding while Esposito's wife, Joanie, served as the matron of honor. Joe "Bean" Esposito (born May 5, 1948) is an American singer/songwriter whose career spans from the 1970s to the present day. Esposito's songs have been recorded by Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Stephen Stills and others. Biography Esposito was a member of the band Brooklyn Dreams, best known for their collaboration with Donna Summer on the US top ten hit " Heaven Knows". Esposito collaborated with producer Giorgio Moroder on the 1982 ''Solitary Men'' project, which became Esposito's first solo album. In 1983, Esposito contributed the song " Lady, Lady, Lady" to the ''Flashdance'' soundtrack album; the song also appeared on the ''Solitary Men'' album. In 1984, his song " You're the Best" was included in ''The Karate Kid'' film and soundtrack. Joseph Esposito (born Giuseppe Esposito, , October 6, 1871 - March 21, 1928) was an American politician best known for his involvement in bootlegging, extortion, prostitution and labor racketeering in Chicago, Illinois during the Prohibition era. Early life Esposito was born on October 6, 1871, in Acerra, Campania, Italy. He immigrated to Illinois and joined one of the street gangs terrorizing Chicago's Little Italy during the early 1900s. When the Volstead Act was enacted and Prohibition in the United States began, Esposito's organization, the 42 Gang, which included Sam "Momo" Giancana and Paul "The Waiter" Ricca, entered into bootlegging. Esposito's early success with the Genna Brothers may have been a factor in the 1920 murder of rival James "Big Jim" Colosimo, a long time racketeer who had been hesitant to begin his own bootlegging operations. Joseph Esposito (born September 21, 1966) is an American basketball coach. Esposito is currently the Associate Head Coach at The University of Missouri Kansas City and still a Basketball Analyst on ESPN Las Vegas on his free time. He was the Head Coach at Cesar Chavez HS in Phoenix, Arizona for two years and before that was an assistant coach for head men's basketball coach Marvin Menzies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
