Joe Esposito (basketball)
Joseph Esposito (born September 21, 1966) is an American basketball coach. Esposito is currently the Associate Head Coach at The University of Missouri Kansas City and still a Basketball Analyst on ESPN Las Vegas on his free time. He was the Head Coach at Cesar Chavez HS in Phoenix, Arizona for two years and before that was an assistant coach for head men's basketball coach Marvin Menzies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Esposito spent twelve years with Hall of Fame Coach Tubby Smith as an assistant basketball coach and Recruiting Coordinator at University of Memphis, an assistant coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Texas Tech University and the Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant Coach at the University of Minnesota. Kansas City Roos Men's Basketball
The Kansas City Roos men's basketball team represents the University of Missouri–Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri. The school plays in the Summit League after completing a seven-season tenure in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in July 2020. The team has never played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The Roos are led by head coach Marvin Menzies. Minnesota Golden Gophers
The Minnesota Golden Gophers (commonly shortened to Gophers) are the college sports teams of the University of Minnesota. The university fields a total of 25 (12 men's, 13 women's) teams in both men's and women's sports and competes in the Big Ten Conference. The Gophers women's ice hockey team is a six-time NCAA champion and seven-time national champion. In women's ice hockey, the Gophers belong to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Jerry Vandergriff
Jerry Vandergriff (born c. 1942) is a former American football player and coach. He was a football player at Angelo State College in San Angelo, Texas, and the University of Corpus Christi. He was a football coach at Angelo State from 1971 to 2004, including 23 years as head coach. He is the winningest coach in Angelo State history and ranks 39th in wins in NCAA Division II history. Biography Vandergriff is a native of Tulia, Texas. He began his association with Angelo State Rams football as a freshman football player. He later recalled, "Basically, I played here when I was a freshman coming in and just fell in love with the place." Frankie Allen
Frankie Allen (born April 7, 1949) is an American men's college basketball coach who most recently coached at Maryland Eastern Shore. He was also the head coach at Virginia Tech, and Howard, as well as an assistant at and UMBC. His greatest success was at Tennessee State where he won three Ohio Valley Conference titles and was the 1993 national Coach of the Year. Allen played collegiately under Charles Moir at Roanoke College, where he was the school's first African-American athlete. Allen would later coach at Virginia Tech as an assistant under Moir and then follow Moir as the head coach of the Hokies. In 2013, Allen was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
