Job of Pisidia (born Ihor Wladimir Getcha, russian: Игорь Владимирович Геча; January 31, 1974) is an Eastern Orthodox Metropolitan of the Ecumenical Patriarchate who is the Permanent Representative of the Ecumenical Patriarchate to the World Council of Churches and the Dean of the Institute for Orthodox Theology Higher Studies at Chambésy, Switzerland. World Council Of Churches
The World Council of Churches (WCC) is a worldwide Christian inter-church organization founded in 1948 to work for the cause of ecumenism. Gabriel of Komana (born Guido de Vylder, June 13, 1946 – October 26, 2013) was an Eastern Orthodox archbishop of the Ecumenical Patriarchate who led the Patriarchal Exarchate for Orthodox Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe from 2003 to 2013. Born in Lokeren, Belgium, to a Catholic Flemish family, he studied philosophy and theology until 1974, afterwards obtaining his diploma in moral and religious studies at the University of Leuven. During this time he was introduced to Orthodox Christianity at the parish of St. Andrew in Ghent, becoming Orthodox in January 1974. Ordained deacon on 5 October 1975 by Archbishop George Tarassov at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Paris, he was ordained a celibate priest on 27 June 1976 at the same cathedral. Wasyly (Fedak)
Metropolitan Wasyly or Basil, ( secular name William Fedak; November 1, 1909 – January 10, 2005) was the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada (UOCC) from 1985 until his death in 2005. Metropolitan Wasyly (Vasylii) was born Vasyl' Fedak on November 1, 1909, in Kadubivtsi in Austrian-ruled northern Bukovina (now Chernivtsi Oblast in Ukraine). Together with his parents and five siblings, he immigrated to Canada and settled in Sheho, Saskatchewan. In young adulthood, he became a teacher: a career that lasted 14 years. He then studied at a seminary of the UOCC from 1941 to 1944. He was ordained into the diaconate on September 27, 1944, and shortly thereafter into the priesthood on October 1. As a priest, he served parishes in Manitoba and Ontario. In 1951, he arrived in Hamilton, Ontario to serve the parish of St. Vladimir. Saint Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral ( ua, Українська Православна Катедра Святої Софії) is a Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, Ukrainian Orthodox cathedral in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is located on Saint-Michel Boulevard (Montreal), Saint-Michel Boulevard, corner De Bellechasse Street, in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
