Joan Bauer (politician)
Joan Bauer (born January 21, 1950) is an American politician who served as a member of the Michigan House of Representatives for the Michigan's 68th House of Representatives district, 68th district form 2007 to 2012. Education Bauer graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and minors in political science and secondary education. Career Bauer was a high school and adult education government teacher and she served as the director of volunteer services at Ingham Regional Medical Center for 21 years. Bauer chaired the Ingham County Women's Commission and served as president of the Michigan Women in Municipal Government from 2004 to 2005. Lansing City Council In 1995, Bauer was elected as a member at-large to the Lansing City Council, and re-elected in 1999, and 2003. Michigan's 68th House of Representatives district (also referred to as Michigan's 68th House district) is a legislative district within the Michigan House of Representatives located in parts of Genesee County, Michigan, Genesee and Oakland County, Michigan, Oakland counties.
