Jireh Ibañes
Jireh Ralph A. Ibañes (born April 20, 1982) is a Filipino former professional basketball player of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He played his entire career for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and is now serving as an assistant team manager. He was drafted eleventh overall by then-known Welcoat in 2006. He is the last player to have played from the original Welcoat team of 2006–07. Professional career Ibañes was drafted by Welcoat Dragons in the 2006 PBA draft as the eleventh overall pick. On January 15, 2016, in the Game 6 of the 2015–16 PBA Philippine Cup semi-finals against the San Miguel Beermen, Ibañes accidentally injured San Miguel and Philippine national team star June Mar Fajardo while boxing Fajardo out for a rebound. Ibañes was the subject of criticism of netizens (especially San Miguel fans) over the incident. The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is a men's professional basketball league in the Philippines composed of twelve company-branded franchised teams. Founded in 1975, it is the first professional basketball league in Asia and is the second oldest continuously professional basketball league existing in the world after the National Basketball Association, NBA,Bartholomew, Rafe. San Miguel Beermen
The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with the Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 28 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. In addition, it has won the Grand Slam in and the Perpetual Jun Bernardino Trophy after winning three straight PBA Philippine Cups from 2015 to 2017. The 2007–08 Welcoat Dragons season was the second season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The Dragons are lower seeded in both conferences of the season. The 2013–14 PBA season was the 39th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season formally opened on November 17, 2013, and finished on July 9, 2014. The league continued to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup, or the traditional All-Filipino Conference. The Commissioner's Cup and the Governors' Cup is the second and third conferences for this season. Due to the Philippines' hosting of the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship last August, the third conference of the previous season, the 2013 PBA Governors' Cup was rescheduled to start on August 13.
