Jinočany
Jinočany is a municipality and village in Prague-West District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,200 inhabitants. Etymology The name was derived from the old Czech word ''jinoci'', meaning 'loners' or 'hermits'. Geography Jinočany is located about west of Prague. It lies in a flat agricultural landscape of the Prague Plateau. The highest point is at above sea level. History The first written mention of Jinočany is from 1406, when half of the village was owned by the Břevnov Monastery. During feudal times, the village was divided into two parts that had different owners. In 1845, iron ore began to be mined near Jinočany. At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, mining developed and caused the growth of the village and an influx of new residents. After World War I, mining was stopped due to the low iron content of the mined ore. In the years 1945–1964, mining was resumed, but it was unprofitable. Demographics ... Prague-West District ( cs, okres Praha-západ) is a district in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is Prague. The most populated town of the district is Jesenice. D0 Motorway (Czech Republic)
D0 motorway ( cs, Dálnice D0), formerly R1 expressway ( cs, Rychlostní silnice R1), or Prague Ring Road ( cs, Pražský okruh), also called the outer ring road, is a motorway in the Czech Republic. It is an outer ring of Prague and its first segment was opened in the 1980s. There is also an inner Prague Municipal Ring Road, which is still under construction as well. 40 km, from the planned length 80 km, are in operation. Two disjunct sections are opened to the public, one going all the way from the Ruzyně Airport to the interchange with the D1 highway, the other one being a road on the eastern border of Prague. A section connecting these two segments is to be built next. Other segments under preparation include a controversial bridge over the Vltava river near Suchdol, with locals proposing the road to be built in a less inhabited location to the north. Beroun (; german: Beraun) is a town in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 20,000 inhabitants. It lies at the confluence of the Berounka and Litavka rivers. European route E 50 is an A-type east–west connection across the European continent. Iron Ore
Iron ores are rocks and minerals from which metallic iron can be economically extracted. The ores are usually rich in iron oxides and vary in color from dark grey, bright yellow, or deep purple to rusty red. The Prague Plateau ( cs, Pražská plošina) is a plateau and a geomorphological mesoregion of the Czech Republic. It is located in the area of Prague and in the Central Bohemian Region. Geomorphology The Prague Plateau is a mesoregion of the Brdy Macroregion within the Bohemian Massif. It is a denudation plateau with neogene aligned surfaces.
