Jimmy Phillips (footballer, Born 1966)
James Neil Phillips (born 8 February 1966) is an English football coach and former professional Association football, footballer. As a player, he was a Defender (association football), defender who notably played in the Premier League for Middlesbrough F.C., Middlesbrough and Bolton Wanderers F.C., Bolton Wanderers. He also played in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers F.C., Rangers and in the Football League with Oxford United F.C., Oxford United. Whilst at Bolton he played in the 1995 Football League Cup Final. Following retirement, he returned and has coached their reserve and academy teams as well as holding the position of first team caretaker manager on three occasions. The last role he held at the club was academy director. Bolton
Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish people, Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. The 1996–97 season was the 117th season of competitive football in England. Promotion to and relegation from the Football League returned after a three-season absence, with one relegation spot in Division Three. Overview Premier League Manchester United won their second consecutive title, despite a spell in the autumn where they lost three games and conceded 13 goals. They won the title by seven points, as Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool fell away in the closing weeks. Nevertheless, their tally of 75 points is the lowest ever recorded by a Premier League winner. Football League Division One
The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. Keith John Hill (born 17 May 1969) is an English professional former footballer and football manager, who was most recently manager of National League club Scunthorpe United. In a 16-year-long playing career, Hill was a centre back who represented Blackburn Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Rochdale, Cheltenham Town, Wrexham and Morecambe F.C., Morecambe. After retiring as a player, he went into coaching at Rochdale, and was twice the club's manager until sacked in March 2019.
