Jimmy Jones (English Footballer)
James Jones (9 July 1889 – after 1926) was a association football, footballer who played as a defender (football), defender in The Football League in the 1910s and 1920s. Born in Newburn, Newburn-on-Tyne, Jones began his career with local side Gateshead F.C., Gateshead. In 1912, he signed for Blackpool F.C., Blackpool, then in Football League Second Division, Division Two. He made his debut on 28 September 1912, in a 2–0 victory over Fulham F.C., Fulham at Bloomfield Road. He went on to make a further 31 league appearances during the Blackpool F.C. season 1912-13, 1912–13 campaign. Jones was an ever-present during the Blackpool F.C. season 1913-14, 1913–14 season, only to see his place come under pressure from Bert Tulloch in Blackpool F.C. season 1914-15, 1914–15. Newburn
Newburn is a semi rural parish, former electoral ward and former urban district in western Newcastle upon Tyne, North East England. Situated on the North bank of the River Tyne, it is built rising up the valley from the river. It is situated approximately from the city centre, east of Hexham and south south west of Morpeth. In the 2001 census, the population was given as 9,301, increasing to 9,536 at the 2011 Census. Newburn is in the Newcastle upon Tyne district of Tyne and Wear and is part of the parliamentary constituency of Newcastle upon Tyne North. Albert Tulloch (23 February 1889 – 15 February 1953) was an English professional Association football, footballer. He played as a defender (association football), full-back, and spent his entire ten-year professional career at Blackpool F.C., Blackpool. Tulloch made his debut for Blackpool on 24 October 1914, in a 2–1 defeat by Leicester City F.C., Leicester Fosse at Bloomfield Road. Horace Fairhurst
Horace Fairhurst (2 June 1893 – 7 January 1921) was an English professional footballer. He played as a defender. After playing for Darwen for a number of years, Fairhurst joined fellow Lancashire club Blackpool in May 1919 after previously playing for them during the 1916–17 and 1917–18 World War I wartime seasons. Career Fairhurst first played for Blackpool in the 1917–18 wartime season, on 1 September 1917 against Oldham Athletic, while he was serving at the Royal Army Medical Corps Depot in the town. He made a total of 27 appearances for the club that season. He returned to the club on 8 February 1919, in a 1–1 draw at Burnley and made a total of ten appearances for ''the Seasiders'' that season. Bloomfield Road
Bloomfield Road is a single-tier football stadium in Blackpool, Lancashire, England, which has been the home of Blackpool F.C. since 1901. It is the third stadium in the club's existence, the previous two being Raikes Hall Gardens and the Athletic Grounds. Largely unchanged since the 1960s, the stadium began a redevelopment phase in the early 2000s.
