James Carl Jobb (born October 8, 1954), known professionally as Jim Smith, is an American animator and musician. He worked on '' Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures'' with his long-time working partner John Kricfalusi. Smith later briefly worked on ''Tiny Toon Adventures'', and then along with Kricfalusi, Bob Camp and Lynne Naylor he founded Spümcø, where he co-created ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'' and ''The Ripping Friends ''The Ripping Friends: The World's Most Manly Men!'' James McCoy Smith (born November 4, 1946) is a former American football defensive back in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins. He played high school football at Kearny High School (San Diego, California), and college football at the University of Oregon. He was nicknamed "Yazoo" because he was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi. He was an All-American his senior year (1967), and was drafted in the first round of the 1968 NFL Draft. He was the first defensive back taken in the draft, and the twelfth player overall. He played all 14 games during his rookie season, but his career ended after one year because of a severe neck injury. After his career was cut short, Smith sued the NFL and the Redskins in federal court on the grounds that the draft was a violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act. Jim Smith is an American motocross racer and former NASCAR team owner who helped found the Craftsman Truck Series. Smith tested a prototype of the truck prior to the 1994 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway. James Arthur Smith (born July 20, 1955) is a former American football player. He played college football for the University of Michigan from 1974 to 1976. He also played wide receiver for six seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1977 to 1982 before starring on the Birmingham Stallions of the rival United States Football League (USFL). After the USFL's demise, Smith played a final season for the Los Angeles Raiders in 1985. Early years Smith grew up in Robbins, Illinois, and attended Dwight D. Cedric Ivan James Smith (25 August 1906 – 8 February 1979) was an English cricketer who played in five Test matches for the England cricket team between 1935 and 1937. Career Known as "Big Jim", Smith joined the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) ground staff in 1926 and played for Wiltshire until 1933. He qualified for Middlesex in 1934 and took 172 wickets at 18.88 to finish 6th in the bowling averages in his debut season. He was selected for the 1934–35 MCC tour of the West Indies on the strength of this performance and played in every Test there. On debut, he took five wickets in the second innings in Bridgetown. He also appeared for England against New Zealand at Old Trafford in 1937.
